Mr. Hoang Van Thao, Head of Secondary Education Department, Department of Education and Training, Head of the "Ignite AI" group, said: The "Ignite AI" group was established in early 2025 with 40 members who are passionate teachers, dedicated to the profession and love new knowledge. This is the core force in researching skills in depth, sharing experiences in applying artificial intelligence in teaching, and at the same time ready to support colleagues in accessing science and technology.
To maintain regular activities, the group builds plans for each week and each month with specific topics. The group leader regularly posts new lectures and documents on artificial intelligence. Other members also actively participate by sharing their personal and unit products and experiences with group members such as: exploiting learning support applications; using artificial intelligence to create short films to illustrate lectures; applying digital platforms to grade and create exam questions...
In addition to online sharing, group members also actively share their knowledge and experience through training programs organized by the Department of Education and Training. At schools, members of the above groups have become "locomotives" leading the digital transformation movement with many specific activities such as internal training, bringing digital platforms to support students in reviewing knowledge, building lectures with artificial intelligence applications... Thanks to that, the knowledge and experience in applying artificial intelligence from the "Lighting the Fire of AI" group has spread to many schools across the province.
Ms. Lanh Huong Lan, a teacher at the Provincial Boarding Ethnic High School, said: As a member of the "Lighting AI" group, I have learned a lot of good experiences and applied them effectively in teaching practice. Through research and study, I have integrated Google tools into the classroom, exploiting the features of artificial intelligence to support students. Accordingly, students upload learning materials to the platform, the system will generate questions related to the lesson for students to review. I myself have proactively shared this method with my colleagues to apply together, aiming to improve the quality of teaching and learning.
From the experiences of "Lighting the Fire of AI", many teachers in the province have flexibly applied it to practice, creating lively and attractive lectures, arousing students' interest in learning. Typically, in the lesson "The Earth's Movement Around the Solar System" in the Physics program for grade 6 at Tam Thanh Secondary School, Tam Thanh Ward. Thanks to artificial intelligence, it helps to visually simulate the laws of Earth's movement, the formation of seasons or the tilt and direction of the Earth's axis during the Spring Equinox, Summer Solstice, Autumn Equinox and Winter Solstice... Thanks to that, students absorb knowledge easily and are more interested in the subject.
Student Vu Khoi Nguyen, class 6A5, Tam Thanh Secondary School, Tam Thanh ward said: The lectures in which teachers apply information technology and artificial intelligence are very lively and attractive, helping us to easily understand and remember the knowledge in the lessons.
Since the beginning of 2025, the "Lighting the Fire of AI" group has participated in training and guiding more than 12,000 teachers in the province to apply artificial intelligence in teaching. The group's exciting and practical activities have contributed to spreading the spirit of initiative, creativity and the ability to master technology among the teaching staff. Thanks to that, more and more schools are applying artificial intelligence in teaching and learning activities, especially in stages such as preparing lesson plans, creating questions, and grading students' papers. These efforts contribute to improving the quality of teaching and learning, gradually promoting digital transformation in the education sector.
