Heritage convergence, connecting ancient capital

On November 1, at the Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam, the opening ceremony of the "Heritage Convergence" program within the framework of the "Thang Long - Hanoi Festival 2025" took place.

The event took place at Thai Hoc yard of Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam, introducing and promoting typical products and traditional crafts of typical craft villages of Hanoi , Hue, Ninh Binh and the Central Highlands.

In her opening speech, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports Le Thi Anh Mai emphasized: The theme "Heritage Convergence" not only has the meaning of connecting the three ancient capitals Hoa Lu (Ninh Binh) - Thang Long (Hanoi) - Phu Xuan (Hue), but also shows the convergence of cultural regions across the country, from the lowlands to the highlands, from the fertile Red River Delta to the majestic Central Highlands.

Coming to the Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam, visitors can experience and discover the strong imprints of: Bat Trang pottery, Ha Thai lacquerware, Chuong village hats, Thuong Tin embroidery, ethnic cakes (Hanoi); lotus leaf hats, sedge crafts, sesame candy, Hue cakes; Kim Son sedge, Ninh Hai embroidery, burnt rice (Ninh Binh); Buon Le brocade weaving - Dak Lak, brocade weaving in Chu Mom Ray National Park, Zeng brocade weaving in A Luoi, E De coffee, Ngoc Linh ginseng (Central Highlands)...

Mr. Le Xuan Kieu, Director of the Center for Cultural and Scientific Activities of the Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam, shared that the program "Heritage Convergence" aims to connect craft villages across the country, spread cultural values ​​and awareness of preserving the heritage of the Vietnamese ethnic community to domestic and foreign tourists.
