Lam Dong allocated more than 11 billion VND to support localities affected by floods and storms.

On November 3, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lam Dong province said that, implementing the direction of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province has allocated funds from mobilized sources to support localities, forces and households affected by floods, with a total amount of more than 11 billion VND.

Comrade Pham Thi Phuc, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, presented support money to Song Luy commune.

Accordingly, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Provincial Committee has allocated support to communes and wards according to 3 levels of damage.

Support 1 billion VND/commune, ward with heavy damage, including 6 localities: Ham Thang ward, Binh Thuan ward, Hiep Thanh commune, Song Luy commune, Ham Thuan Bac commune and Luong Son commune.

Support 500 million VND/commune, ward with average damage including 8 communes: Ham Liem, Ham Thanh, Tuyen Quang , Phan Son, Hong Thai, Bac Binh, Ham Thuan and Tuy Phong.

Support 300 million VND/commune, ward with minor damage including 3 communes: D'ran, Ham Kiem and Ka Do.

As of November 2, many households' houses in Luong Bac village, Luong Son commune were still flooded.

In addition, the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee visited, encouraged and supported forces to overcome landslides at D'ran Pass, Gia Bac Pass and Dai Ninh Pass; visited and presented gifts to households that suffered heavy losses in some localities.

In addition, 3 families with people who died due to floods were also supported by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province with 10 million VND/family, contributing to helping people soon overcome difficulties and stabilize their lives.

From October 26 to November 2, Lam Dong province experienced prolonged heavy rain, with many areas recording high rainfall, causing flooding and landslides in a number of communes and wards.

Due to the rapid rise in water levels, reservoirs such as Song Quao, Da Bac and Song Luy had to discharge water, affecting agricultural production and people’s lives. Many localities in the province suffered heavy damage due to floods.
