A young man in the southernmost part of the country spreads the spirit of beautiful living and promotes his homeland.

(Dan Tri) - "I want to use my youth to contribute to my homeland through practical work, spreading the spirit of living beautifully and usefully in the community," said Le Tran Anh Hung.

“As a son of a land rich in tradition, at the southernmost tip of the Fatherland, I always keep in mind: “Live not only to receive, but also to give”. I wish to use my youth to contribute to my homeland with practical actions, even small ones, but meaningful in spreading the spirit of living beautifully and usefully in the community”, Mr. Le Tran Anh Hung shared with Dan Tri reporter .

Hung is currently Vice President of the Vietnam Youth Union of Ca Mau province, Secretary of the Youth Union of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ca Mau province, and Head of the project "For you".

Startup is where young people dare to think and dare to do.

Born in 1993, from Ca Mau province, after graduating with a bachelor's degree in Business Administration and a master's degree in Tourism and Travel Services Management from Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology in 2017, Le Tran Anh Hung started working at the Investment Promotion and Enterprise Support Center (iPEC) under the Office of the People's Committee of Ca Mau province.

His job is to provide professional advice to support innovative startups and promote tourism in the province.

“Starting a business is not only a journey of ideas, but also a journey of aspiration and belief, where every young person dares to think, dares to do, dares to turn dreams into reality,” Hung clearly stated his views on starting a business.

From "dare to think, dare to do", recently, Hung and his colleagues have implemented many outstanding initiatives and projects to promote the province's innovative startup ecosystem.

A typical example is the initiative “Building a startup space in Ca Mau province” right at the center of iPEC. This is a place to gather, exchange, share and nurture creative ideas. In the period 2022-2024, this initiative has been very effective.

That is, in the startup space, there are more than 40 clubs and startups headquartered; more than 100 large and small events taking place such as: Training, coaching, talks, experience sharing, customer conferences, club activities; more than 200 products are displayed from union members, youth, businesses, local people,...

In addition, the startup space also welcomes more than 10,000 visitors each month to visit, shop and experience; many groups come from provinces and cities across the country to learn from the model of "Ca Mau province startup space" such as: An Giang, Dong Thap, Can Tho, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, ...

In particular, for 3 consecutive years (2020-2023), projects of Ca Mau province have won first prize in the Mekong Delta startup competition, affirming the practical effectiveness and increasingly solid position of the startup movement of Ca Mau province on the regional innovation map.

“Thanks to these efforts, Ca Mau has formed a dynamic startup network, connecting businesses, schools, support organizations and the young creative community. Many projects have successfully raised capital, created new jobs for many young workers and strongly spread the spirit of creativity and self-reliance among young people,” Hung shared.

Promoting Ca Mau tourism through music and cinema

Le Tran Anh Hung believes that the success of start-up initiatives does not stop at creating new products or business models. According to Hung, creativity needs to open up new approaches, contributing to creating new values ​​for the homeland.

For Hung, he is particularly interested in contributing to promoting the local image through technology.

From that spirit, Hung and his colleagues have sought new ways to bring Ca Mau's image closer to the public. Hung believes that music and cinema are two "artistic languages" with great influence, capable of touching emotions, turning each melody and each film into a "tourism ambassador".

Inspired by youth music models, cinema with images and destination brands of some countries, Hung and his colleagues have combined art, cultural stories and natural landscapes to create a media product bearing the Ca Mau brand. Thereby, contributing to bringing the people, culture and tourism of Ca Mau province to domestic and foreign friends.

With the initiative “Promoting tourism through music and cinema”, Hung and his colleagues have released two products: the MV “Ca Mau is not far away” and the short film “Discovering Mui Ca Mau National Park”. These two products have created a distinctive mark, demonstrating the creative and dynamic spirit of the youth in the southernmost region of the country.

Hung said that the MV “Ca Mau is not far away” is a music product using Rap music, with the main content of culinary images, destinations, and friendly people in Ca Mau. This is the first Rap music product made by Hung’s group, honored to be selected by the province to perform at the Ca Mau Shrimp Festival in 2023.

The short film "Exploring Mui Ca Mau National Park" produced by Hung's group surpassed nearly 300 domestic and foreign works to win the online clip contest "I love Vietnam" on the occasion of the 2024 Da Nang Asian Film Festival.

Currently, the views of the MV “Ca Mau is not far away” and the short film “Exploring Mui Ca Mau National Park” have reached more than 200,000 views. According to Hung, this number shows a good signal in the communication and promotion of tourism in Ca Mau province. This is not only a source of pride for himself, but also proves that the sacred southernmost land of the Fatherland can completely tell its story in the “language of art”, spreading internationally.

“Live not only to receive, but also to give”

Talking to Dan Tri reporter , Anh Hung always reiterated his belief that "living is not only to receive, but also to give". Hung said that in the past 5 years, he has been chairing and actively participating in more than 100 projects, programs and campaigns in the fields of culture, education, health care, social security and environmental protection.

“My most memorable project is the “For You” project initiated in 2021 during the Covid-19 pandemic,” Hung said, adding that the project was born “from genuine love, from the heart wanting to share love with disadvantaged children.”

The "For Children" project started with small meals brought by Hung's group to support the disadvantaged, especially children in many places. Seeing the meaningful activities, many people and philanthropists in and outside Ca Mau province actively supported Hung's group.

“2023 was truly a big turning point for the “For Children” project, when more than 2,000 children were able to eat well, play and receive gifts to support their schooling. This happiness was not only for the project staff, but also for the donors, especially the children,” Hung recalled.

With this project, at least once a month, Hung's group tries to carry out a program in a commune in or outside Ca Mau province. Not only bringing gifts to children, Hung also expands a number of other activities such as medical examination, free medicine distribution to people, tree planting, garbage collection to protect the environment,...

Up to now, the project has spread and supported more than 5,000 children in especially difficult circumstances in the Mekong Delta such as: Ca Mau, An Giang, Can Tho, Vinh Long. According to Hung, the actions, though small, come from the heart and the desire to contribute, wishing to contribute so that no one is left behind.

“The projects and programs that my colleagues and I have achieved today are thanks to the trust and concern of leaders at all levels, the companionship and sharing of friends, relatives, kind-hearted people and philanthropists, who have always supported us on our journey of contributing to our homeland and community,” Hung expressed.

Hung also shared that in his journey of contributing his youth, he always realized that what he had done was just a small step in the great journey of the patriotic emulation movement. He believes that every kind deed, every useful initiative, no matter how small, contributes to the great strength of the community, all for a better society.

According to Mr. Tai, the “For You” project founded and maintained by Hung is a bright spot in volunteer work, contributing to spreading the spirit of humanity and caring for children in difficult circumstances in the province. Not only stopping at specific activities, Hung is also a typical model of young people in Ca Mau - daring to think, daring to do, daring to contribute, clearly demonstrating the pioneering spirit of youth in the new period.

"What Hung has done over the past 5 years not only demonstrates personal efforts but is also the result of a process of persistent and dedicated striving for the community and his homeland Ca Mau.
