Prime Minister appoints Deputy Minister of National Defense and Deputy Inspector General of the Government

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has just issued decisions appointing and reappointing leaders of a number of ministries and agencies.

President Luong Cuong presented the decision to promote the rank of Deputy Minister of National Defense Le Duc Thai.

In Decision No. 2436 , the Prime Minister appointed Mr. Le Duc Thai, member of the Party Central Committee and Commander of the Border Guard, to hold the position of Deputy Minister of National Defense.

New Deputy Minister of National Defense Le Duc Thai was born in 1967, his hometown is Quang Ninh province. He has a Bachelor's degree in Border Defense and a Senior degree in Political Theory.

Mr. Le Duc Thai worked for many years at the Border Guard of Quang Ninh province. After that, he held the position of Deputy Commander of the Border Guard and Chief of Staff of the Border Guard.

Before becoming Deputy Minister of Defense, Mr. Thai was Commander of the Border Guard.

On the morning of November 4, President Luong Cuong presented the decision to promote Le Duc Thai from Lieutenant General to Senior Lieutenant General.

Permanent Deputy Inspector General of the Government Inspectorate Nguyen Quoc Doan.

In Decision No. 2435 , the Prime Minister decided to accept and appoint Mr. Nguyen Quoc Doan, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court, to hold the position of Permanent Deputy Inspector General of the Government Inspectorate.

The new Permanent Deputy Inspector General of the Government Inspectorate, Nguyen Quoc Doan, was born in 1975 and is from Ninh Binh province. He has a Doctorate of Law, Master of Law, Bachelor of Law; and a senior degree in political theory.

Before 2018, Mr. Nguyen Quoc Doan was Deputy Commander of the Mobile Police Command (Ministry of Public Security). After that, he worked in Thua Thien Hue province for nearly 3 years and held the positions of: Director of the Provincial Police (from November 2018), Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee (from July 2020) and Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee (from November 2020).

On July 1, 2021, the Politburo appointed Mr. Nguyen Quoc Doan to join the Executive Committee, Standing Committee and hold the position of Secretary of Lang Son Provincial Party Committee, term XVII, 2020-2025.

On the afternoon of November 28, 2024, at the 8th Session, the National Assembly approved Mr. Doan as a Judge of the Supreme People's Court. He was then appointed as Deputy Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court.

VTV Deputy General Director Do Thanh Hai.

In Decision No. 2438 , the Prime Minister reappointed Mr. Do Thanh Hai to hold the position of Deputy General Director of Vietnam Television (VTV).

VTV Deputy General Director Do Thanh Hai was born in 1973, graduated as valedictorian of university, majoring in Film Directing in 1996, graduated with a Master's degree in Film and Television Arts in 2010, studied and trained professionally in the television industry at DW - Deutsche Welle Academy, Germany in 2008.

Before being appointed as Deputy General Director of VTV in September 2020, Mr. Do Thanh Hai held the position of Director of Television Film Production Center (VFC), Vietnam Television Station.

In Decision No. 2432 , the Prime Minister appointed Colonel Nguyen Anh Ngoc, Head of Logistics and Engineering of Military Region 2, to hold the position of Deputy Commander of Military Region 2.
