The Ministry of Defense has a new Deputy Minister.

Mr. Le Duc Thai, Commander of the Border Guard Force, has just been appointed as Deputy Minister of National Defense.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has just issued a decision appointing Mr. Le Duc Thai, member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party and Commander of the Border Guard, to the position of Deputy Minister of National Defense .

This morning, the President decided to promote Mr. Le Duc Thai from Lieutenant General to General.

Lieutenant General Le Duc Thai was born in 1967 in Quang Ninh province and holds a Bachelor's degree in Border Guard. He has worked for many years in the Border Guard Force of Quang Ninh province and the Border Guard Command.

According to the Ministry of National Defense's online portal, the Ministry of National Defense currently has the following deputy ministers: General Nguyen Tan Cuong (Chief of General Staff); Lieutenant General Vo Minh Luong; Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien; Lieutenant General Le Huy Vinh; Lieutenant General Vu Hai San; Lieutenant General Pham Hoai Nam; Lieutenant General Nguyen Truong Thang; Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Hien; Lieutenant General Nguyen Quang Ngoc; Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Gau and Lieutenant General Le Duc Thai

Also today, the Prime Minister decided to appoint Colonel Nguyen Anh Ngoc, Head of Logistics and Technical Services of Military Region 2, to the position of Deputy Commander of Military Region 2.
