Ha Long Bay recreated in Anime
After decades of accompanying the robotic cat Doraemon through fantastical lands, Vietnamese fans finally get to witness the official appearance of the S-shaped strip of land in the classic animated series.
TV Asahi (Japan) has just released a special episode set in Vietnam, making our country the third country outside of Japan (after Thailand and Spain) that Nobita and his friends have visited.

The special episode, titled "A Trip to Vietnam as a Gift," was made to celebrate Shizuka's birthday. After Shizuka expressed her love for and desire to visit Vietnam, Nobita enlisted Doraemon's help to make her dream come true as a surprise birthday gift.
However, the plan nearly fell apart when the group discovered that the Magical Door was being repaired. Luckily, with the help of Doremi, Nobita and Shizuka successfully completed their memorable trip to Vietnam using other unique gadgets.
Ha Long Bay and a series of other Vietnamese landmarks appeared in a special Doraemon episode.

Ha Long Bay has long been a proud symbol of Vietnamese tourism. Spanning a vast area of 1,553 km², Ha Long Bay impresses with its system of nearly 2,000 limestone islands of varying sizes rising above the emerald green waters.
Thanks to its magnificent beauty, Ha Long Bay was recognized by UNESCO as a World Natural Heritage Site in 1994, and one of the New Seven Wonders of the World in 2011.
This bay boasts a magnificent cave system, including Thien Cung Cave, Sung Sot Cave, and Dau Go Cave. Visitors can kayak through the pristine coves and experience the unique life of fishermen in the floating fishing villages of Cua Van and Vung Vieng.
The ideal time to visit Ha Long Bay is from March to May and from September to November, when the weather is mild and there are fewer storms.
