The land of a thousand flowers captivates tourists.

Flower tourism creates a vibrant atmosphere.

Serene and vibrant floral spaces

One of the most popular destinations for tourists is the vast hydrangea field, spanning over 2 hectares. It feels like being lost in an endless field of flowers. Large hydrangeas in shades of blue, purple, pink, and magenta change color as they bud and bloom, forming a perfectly round sphere made up of countless smaller flowers like countless stars. Walking amidst the long rows of flowers, visitors can stop by rustic little scenes such as wooden bridges, small doorways, swings, or simple houses to capture beautiful and unique photos.

The flower fields located on the Mimosa Pass are like a "flower paradise," stretching along the hillside, layered on the slopes to create a scene with a distinctly European style. Surrounded by lush green pine forests and overflowing with fragrance and color, visitors feel as if they are walking on flower-strewn steps in a fairytale land.

Many other flower fields are also becoming attractive destinations for nature-loving tourists, with slopes of colorful butterfly flowers, everlasting flowers, heather, forget-me-nots, etc., creating a vibrant space like a rainbow.

Ms. Nguyen Thu Ha, a tourist from Ho Chi Minh City, shared: "The beauty of flowers never gets old. Before, when I came to Da Lat, I only walked around the city center, admiring the flowers I saw; now, visiting the flower fields, I am truly surprised by how beautiful, diverse, and meticulously cared for they are. Every little corner can become a work of art, with vast fields of flowers filling the entire frame."

Unique tourism products

The development of flower fields is not limited to planting flowers for sightseeing combined with coffee, but also aims to build a comprehensive experiential tourism model with relaxation, breakfast, check-in spaces, artistic landscapes, etc., to extend the length of stay for tourists.

The Florest - Flowers in the Forest is an attractive flower tourism destination on the Ta Nung pass, covering an area of 60 hectares surrounded by forest with many species of flowers: butterfly flowers, primroses, peonies, roses, firecracker flowers... Flower beds, flower paths, flower slopes, flower patches, in every color and variety, create a feeling of endlessness.

Fresh Garden, located in the heart of Van Thanh flower village, is a prime example of the trend of combining flowers with modern landscape art. The expansive flower hills are themed with features such as flower-covered windmills, a love bridge, an infinity pool, and European-style art sculptures. The floral landscape also changes with the seasons, featuring various flowers like lavender, begonia, and daisies. Each season, the area takes on a different color palette, offering visitors a fresh and unique experience every time they return.

Meanwhile, the lavender gardens by Tuyen Lam Lake or the Cau Dat area possess a gentle, romantic beauty. The long rows of purple flowers stretching across the hills, wafting the scent of lavender in the early morning mist and afternoon sun, captivate visitors. Many famous tourist spots in Da Lat, such as the Valley of Love, Than Tho Lake, and the Doi Cu area, have also invested heavily in creating large flower beds and slopes to enhance the landscape and improve the visitor experience.

Developing sustainable flower tourism.

From seasonal flower viewing, the thriving development of flower fields has led to the formation of flower tourism routes, attracting visitors year-round. According to many tourism experts, this is a unique advantage of Lam Dong that few other places possess. However, for flower tourism to develop sustainably, long-term and coordinated planning is needed.

Specifically, it is necessary to plan flower tourism areas according to specific themes to avoid duplication of products. Each destination needs to build its own identity through the main flower species, landscape style, and accompanying cultural experiences. At the same time, emphasis should be placed on protecting the ecological environment, limiting concrete construction, and preserving natural green spaces.

Furthermore, the tourism industry needs to strengthen linkages between destinations to develop professional flower tourism tours, combining agricultural experiences, relaxation, and local culture. Flower festivals, outdoor art activities, or experiences in planting and caring for flowers can also become attractive products for tourists.

Flower tourism in the flower fields has contributed to revitalizing the image of Da Lat. More than just places to admire flowers, these destinations offer a sense of peace and tranquility amidst pristine nature. With systematic investment and a sustainable development orientation, these flower fields will continue to be a distinctive tourism product, further solidifying the brand of "Da Lat - the land of a thousand flowers."
