Lam Dong participates in the 6th Cham Ethnic Culture Festival in Khanh Hoa.

The Lam Dong Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has just issued a plan to participate in the 6th Cham Ethnic Culture Festival - 2026 in Khanh Hoa. This is a national-scale cultural event organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in coordination with Khanh Hoa province, from June 26-28, 2026.

According to the plan, the Lam Dong delegation will participate in many unique activities aimed at showcasing the depth of Cham culture being preserved by the community in the province, with the theme: "Preserving and promoting the cultural identity of the Cham ethnic group in Lam Dong province in the new era".

The cultural activities will focus on: performances and presentations of excerpts from traditional Cham festivals and cultural rituals; exhibitions showcasing and promoting traditional Cham culture in the context of building and protecting the homeland. Simultaneously, there will be demonstrations and presentations of traditional Cham crafts such as brocade weaving and pottery making; a folk art festival; and a Cham traditional costume show.

Within the framework of the festival, the Lam Dong delegation will also participate in sports and folk games that reflect the rich traditional culture of the Cham ethnic group, such as: 7-a-side men's football, men's volleyball, tug-of-war, stick pushing, and water-carrying competition. They will also showcase community tourism skills and introduce an exhibition space featuring photographs titled "The Colorful Culture of the Cham Ethnic Group Accompanying the Development of the Country".

The 6th Cham Ethnic Culture Festival is considered a gathering place for the diverse Cham culture from across the country. The festival brings together over 700 artisans, performers, and amateur athletes from seven provinces and cities: Khanh Hoa, Gia Lai, Lam Dong, Tay Ninh, An Giang, Dak Lak, and Ho Chi Minh City.

Lam Dong's active participation in the festival not only contributes to honoring the cultural identity of the Cham ethnic group, but also demonstrates the local government's concern for the preservation of the cultural heritage of ethnic minorities. It is also an opportunity for artisans and amateur performers to exchange experiences, learn from each other, and promote the traditional cultural values ​​of the Cham people in the era of national integration and development.
