At 6:00 AM on a day in late May, at the Ba Den Mountain shooting range, when the command "test begins" was given, the new recruits stepped onto the firing platform with intense concentration and determination. Each prone, kneeling, and standing shooting position was performed skillfully and decisively by the new soldiers. After the firing series concluded, the commander gave the signal, and the recruits quickly moved to their positions to hear the results announced. Breathing a sigh of relief, the recruits anxiously awaited the results.

Private Vo Nhut Huy, a soldier in Squad 9, Platoon 7, Company 2, Battalion 500, Regiment 738, shared: “When I heard the results – 82 points, achieving excellent grade – I was very happy and proud because my hard work and training over the past time have yielded well-deserved results. This will be a motivation for me to continue striving in the future.”
For Private Hoang Duy Khanh, a soldier in Squad 12, Platoon 11, Company 3, Battalion 12, Regiment 174, the results of this inspection are proof of his continuous efforts throughout the training period. Duy Khanh said: “Completing the inspection has given me more confidence. Not only have we been equipped with military knowledge and skills, but we have also been trained in discipline, responsibility, and solidarity within the team. I will continue to strive to study and train to successfully complete my tasks in the future.”

According to Lieutenant Colonel Ngo Thach That, Commander of Regiment 738, to ensure that the new recruits master the movements and techniques in various shooting positions, the regimental command requires the training officers, especially the platoon leaders, to focus on demonstrating the movements, training the recruits in technical movements from slow practice, dividing movements to gradually increasing speed and perfecting the movements, and building endurance when performing the movements of raising and holding the rifle in kneeling and standing shooting positions. Simultaneously, to help the recruits aim well, the training officers have effectively trained them in aiming at red-marked targets and achieving accurate and focused aiming, providing a basis for classifying the quality of the recruits' aiming, and from there, providing in-depth guidance and mentoring for those with unstable aiming lines or eye defects.
Colonel Tran Dinh Hung, Deputy Commander and Chief of Staff of the Provincial Military Command, commended the sense of responsibility of officers at all levels in organizing and conducting live-fire tests; and highly appreciated the determination and progress of the new recruits after more than two months of training. “Live-fire tests not only assess technical skills but also provide an opportunity to hone the courage, confidence, and determination to win of each soldier. Today's results show that the unit's training has been implemented seriously, rigorously, and in accordance with the motto 'Basic, practical, and solid'," Colonel Tran Dinh Hung emphasized.

The results from the AK submachine gun shooting exercise (lesson 1) are an important prerequisite for the new recruits to successfully complete the explosives handling, grenade throwing, and other subsequent exercises before taking their oath of service and being assigned to their units.
