
Due to the impact of storm No. 13, from noon - afternoon of November 6 to November 7, in Da Nang city, there will be moderate rain, heavy rain, very heavy rain and thunderstorms in some places. Total rainfall in communes and wards in the plains and midlands is generally 100-250 mm, in some places over 300 mm; communes and wards in the southern mountainous region is generally 100-300 mm, in some places over 400 mm; communes and wards in the northern mountainous region is generally 80-150 mm, in some places over 200 mm. During thunderstorms, be on guard against lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind, heavy rain with an intensity of over 120 mm/3 hours.
To proactively respond to storm No. 13, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City requested the City Military Command, City Police, departments, branches, People's Committees of communes, wards, special zones and related units to seriously implement the response plan to storm No. 13.
At the same time, check areas at risk of landslides, flooding, and severe flash floods to evacuate and move people to safe places, completing the evacuation before 12 noon on November 6.
Currently, the mountainous commune of A Vuong has a plan to evacuate 52 households with 154 people in areas at risk of landslides and flooding to safe places. In the two communes of Tam Hai and Nui Thanh, there are 441 families with 1,361 people in Binh Trung, Long Thanh Tay and Xuan My villages, which are areas directly affected by the storm. The Border Guard force has also made plans, arranged vehicles and human resources to be ready to move people to evacuation locations to avoid storm No. 13.

With the 4-on-the-spot motto, the authorities and functional forces in the coastal plain of Da Nang city are continuing to help people reinforce their houses, harvest seafood raised on cages, arrange boats in storm shelters, count, count, and call on boats to anchor and take shelter from the storm safely. In particular, the plan to move households in vulnerable areas to safe places has been basically completed. In order to proactively respond promptly and effectively to storm No. 13.
Previously, on the afternoon of November 5, 3 large hydropower plants on the upper Vu Gia - Thu Bon River in Da Nang city issued a notice to gradually lower the water level of the hydropower reservoir to the flood level according to the direction of the People's Committee of Da Nang city.
Specifically, Song Tranh Hydropower Company announced to continue gradually lowering the water level of Song Tranh 2 reservoir to the flood level of +169m before 10:00 p.m. on November 6. The total flow of Song Tranh 2 reservoir regulated downstream is expected to be from 220 to 2,000 m3/s (depending on the water flow to the reservoir).
Dak Mi 4 Hydropower Plant (announced to regulate the spillway from 150 m3/s to 1,000 m3/s, expected to start operating at 4:00 p.m. on November 5.
A Vuong Hydropower Plant regulates the expected spillway discharge from 100 to 1,250 m3/s.
