Cultural heritage shines in “Thang Long – Hanoi Festival 2025”

VHO - From November 1 to November 16, 2025, at the special national relic of Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam, a series of activities will take place within the framework of the "Thang Long - Hanoi Festival 2025" - a key cultural and artistic event aiming to honor the heritage values ​​of Thang Long - Hanoi and spread the spirit of creativity in the community.

On the morning of November 1, the Heritage Convergence program within the framework of the Thang Long - Hanoi Festival 2025 opened at the Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam, the cultural - educational center of the Capital, a symbol of the tradition of respecting teachers.

The program is part of a series of heritage-honoring activities at the Thang Long - Hanoi Festival 2025, bringing the public unique experiences in the ancient, sacred space of the special national monument.

Thang Long - Hanoi Festival 2025 brings together a series of unique activities, reflecting the depth of heritage and contemporary vitality, including: Displaying and experiencing traditional craft villages; Art program "On the heritage road"; Heritage experience space at Ho Van Lake; Academic activities and international exchanges; Art exhibitions and displays.

At the Exhibition and Experience of Traditional Craft Villages: A space to introduce and promote typical products of typical craft villages from Hanoi, Hue, Ninh Binh and the Central Highlands, helping the public discover the quintessence of traditional Vietnamese crafts through the talented hands of artisans.

At Thai Hoc yard, the image of craft workers is vividly recreated, creating a space connecting the past and present.

The art program "On the Heritage Road" will have 3 nights of art performances at Van Lake - Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam including:

“Ao Dai on the Heritage Road” – honoring Vietnamese Ao Dai in the heritage space.

“Hanoi, oh” – an art program with romantic tones, paying tribute to the thousand-year-old capital.

“The Red River calls, the great forest roars” – blending the sounds of the plains and mountains, evoking the symphony of the country.

Craft village artisans

At the Heritage Experience Space at Ho Van, visitors can directly participate in creative craft workshops, experience traditional arts and enjoy “Taste of Hanoi” cuisine – a place where tradition and creativity intersect.

This is a space for interaction, learning and creativity, helping to bring heritage closer to contemporary life.

Hanoi organizes "Festival Thang Long - Hanoi 2025" for the first time

VHO - With the theme "Heritage - Connection - Era", "Festival Thang Long - Hanoi 2025" is held for the first time in many typical cultural spaces of the capital such as: Thang Long Imperial Citadel, Ngoc Son Temple, Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam, Hanoi Museum, Hoan Kiem Lake, with more than 30 unique cultural, artistic and tourism activities during 16 days (November 1-16).

Academic activities and international exchanges with outstanding programs such as: Seminar "East-West Cultural and Educational Heritage", in collaboration with Columbia University (USA), to exchange, compare and seek cross-cultural values.

Workshop “Application of heritage in creativity” – discussing the application of heritage into contemporary creative life, especially the ideological and intellectual heritage of the Temple of Literature – Quoc Tu Giam.

In addition, there are two outstanding art exhibitions and displays that contribute to enriching the Festival space, including:

Exhibition “Thanh Tan Hanoi” – introducing contemporary artworks inspired by Hanoi.

Exhibition “Heritage with the Future” – aiming to connect the past and present, between heritage and the young generation.
