Opening of the Fair Connecting Supply and Demand of Agricultural Products in Nghe An Province in 2025

On the evening of November 6, at the Central Park, Truong Vinh Ward, the opening ceremony of the Fair to Connect Supply and Demand, Promote Agricultural Products of Nghe An Province in 2025 took place.

Attending the opening ceremony were comrades: Hoang Nghia Hieu - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Nguyen Van De - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Phung Thanh Vinh - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Hoang Quoc Viet - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment, representatives of departments, branches, localities, and neighboring provinces. The Fair Connecting Supply and Demand, Promoting Agricultural Products of Nghe An Province in 2025 is an event within the series of activities celebrating the 80th anniversary of the traditional day of the Agriculture and Environment sector, held from November 5 to 11 at Central Park, Truong Vinh Ward.

This is an important activity, aiming to promote, connect supply and demand, and consume typical agricultural products and specialties imbued with the local cultural identity of Nghe An; at the same time, introduce new achievements and technologies in agricultural production and environmental protection of the province to other provinces and cities across the country.

This year's fair has 130 standard booths and 9 large display areas, introducing OCOP products, typical craft village products of Nghe An and the Western Nghe An Biosphere Reserve display area. Attending the event were 38 communes and wards; 32 enterprises in the province; 3 enterprises from Japan and 100 enterprises from many localities across the country such as: Thanh Hoa, Ha Tinh, Quang Ninh, Cao Bang, Hung Yen, Khanh Hoa, Thai Nguyen, Quang Tri, Tuyen Quang, Ninh Binh, Hanoi, Hai Phong, Da Nang, Quang Ngai, Tien Giang...

The products introduced at the fair all have a strong regional cultural identity, are OCOP certified or meet high quality standards. Not only is it a place to display and introduce products, the fair is also an opportunity for businesses, cooperatives, and producers inside and outside the province to meet, exchange, sign contracts, expand markets, and increase product value in the context of international economic integration.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, comrade Nguyen Van De - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized: This is a meaningful activity to introduce and promote the potential, strengths and typical products of Nghe An, at the same time creating opportunities for businesses, cooperatives and farmers to exchange, connect markets, expand investment cooperation, trade and technology transfer in the agricultural sector.

In recent years, Nghe An agriculture has continued to affirm its important role as a pillar of the economy, with an estimated production value of over 45 trillion VND in 2025, 737 OCOP products achieving 3 stars or more, including 3 national 5-star products. Many agricultural products such as Vinh oranges, Thanh Chuong tea, Nam Dan soy sauce, Quynh Luu fish sauce, Nghe eel... have become strong brands, gradually reaching out to the international market.

For the event to be a success, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested The Department of Agriculture and Environment closely coordinates with relevant sectors, localities and units to organize thoughtful, safe, professional and effective events. Enterprises and cooperatives proactively promote their brands, improve quality, diversify products, expand markets, ensure traceability and safety standards.

Propose international organizations and partners, especially JICA, JETRO and Japanese enterprises, to strengthen cooperation, support promotion and connection of Nghe An agricultural products to the world market.

With its large scale and professional organization, this year's fair is not only a bustling trading space but also a cultural and tourist destination for the people of Nghe An. The fair will become an important bridge to bring Nghe An agricultural products in particular and Vietnamese agricultural products in general to reach further, contributing to spreading the cultural and economic values ​​of this land rich in tradition and hospitality.
