Vietnam's diplomatic missions abroad learn about Dong Nai's investment promotion needs

(DN) - On the afternoon of November 6, the Ministry of Finance's working delegation on investment promotion at foreign diplomatic missions of Vietnam, led by Mr. Vu Van Chung, Deputy Director of the Foreign Investment Department (Ministry of Finance), had a working session with the leaders of Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee.

Receiving and working with the delegation were Provincial Party Committee member, Vice Chairman of Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Ha; leaders of departments, branches, localities and 12 enterprises operating in the fields of industrial park infrastructure and seaports operating in the province.

At the working session, the Ministry of Finance's working delegation, including representatives of Vietnam's investment promotion in countries and territories: France, the United States, Singapore, Germany, South Korea, Taiwan, Laos, Cambodia, Japan; Foreign Investment Agency learned about the investment environment in Dong Nai province; economic and social development strategies, planning work as well as investment attraction strategies in the province in the period 2026-2030.

In addition, the delegation also asked questions to leaders of departments, branches and sectors related to the implementation of policies of the Party and State in the process of attracting investment such as tax and customs policies...

According to Vietnamese investment promotion representatives abroad, listening to and understanding the investment promotion needs of localities will be the basis for Vietnamese representative agencies to support localities in promoting and calling for investment as well as providing information to investors in the host country, thereby connecting foreign investors with Dong Nai.

Speaking at the working session, Head of the Ministry of Finance delegation Vu Van Chung commented: Dong Nai is an important locality and one of the four major economic centers of the country. The information provided by the province to the delegation shows that Dong Nai has achieved impressive results after a short time of merging with the new province. Messages about planning, capacity of industrial park (IP) and seaport infrastructure units as well as commitments on handling administrative procedures and investment attraction policies are clearly shown.

In particular, after the merger, the space for infrastructure development of Dong Nai's industrial parks has been expanded, human resources as well as institutional and infrastructure bottlenecks have been clearly planned by Dong Nai. Based on the recommendations of the working group, Mr. Vo Van Chung hopes that the provincial leaders as well as departments and branches will pay attention and respond soon so that the working group can gather and report to the Ministry of Finance.

Exchanging information with the working delegation, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Ha said: From the opinions and issues that Vietnamese representatives abroad raised with the province, the provincial leaders will direct departments, branches and sectors to synthesize and provide full feedback information so that the working delegation can use and introduce the environment and investment attraction needs of Dong Nai when carrying out investment promotion activities abroad.

In the coming time, when Long Thanh International Airport comes into operation, it will become one of the international-class airports, located near Cai Mep port area, logistics areas, and at the same time promote connection projects between Ho Chi Minh City and Dong Nai. Dong Nai will reallocate new development space, identifying breakthrough goals in the industrial sector. Therefore, the province hopes that the working group will continue to inform and promote Dong Nai's advantages and investment environment to countries around the world.
