Workshop on completing the identity system of 4 collective agricultural product brands

(DN) - On the afternoon of November 6, in Tan Quan commune, INVESTIP Industrial Property Joint Stock Company (Hanoi City) coordinated with the People's Committee of Tan Quan commune to organize a workshop to seek opinions on completing management documents and brand identity for 4 collective brands: "An Khuong Rice", "Tan Hiep Green-Skin Grapefruit", "Tan Quan Melon" and "Hon Quan Tangerine".

Attending the workshop were representatives of the Department of Science and Technology of Dong Nai province, the Provincial Farmers' Association, local leaders, along with cooperatives and typical farmers in the area.

The workshop aimed to collect comments and contributions to perfect the regulations on management, use and development of collective trademarks, contributing to improving the effectiveness of building, managing and developing brands for local agricultural products.

This activity is part of the support chain of the science and technology sector to help people apply scientific and technical advances, increase product value, and develop collective brands, building sustainable agricultural product brands of Dong Nai province.

Speaking at the workshop, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Phong, Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology of Dong Nai province, emphasized: Collective trademarks and certification trademarks are one of the important tools to protect, affirm and enhance the value of local agricultural products. As an advisory body to the Provincial People's Committee in the field of science, technology and intellectual property, the department has proactively coordinated with consulting units, cooperatives and farmer organizations in the whole region to synchronously deploy support activities from registration for protection, identity design, printing of traceability stamps, to training in management and use of trademarks. Through these programs, many typical products have affirmed their position in the market, bringing economic benefits to people and contributing to building the image of quality and reputable agricultural products.
