At the working session, Head of the Korean delegation Choi Jung-heon and members of the delegation expressed their interest in issues related to investment attraction, development of transport infrastructure as well as investment, development of culture, tourism, education , and health of Dong Nai province in recent times and the development policies of the province in the coming time.

Sharing information about Dong Nai's foreign affairs and international cooperation relations, Deputy Director of the Department of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Viet Thang said: Since 1995, Dong Nai province has focused on expanding international cooperation relations with foreign partners, localities and territories around the world . After 30 years of implementation, Dong Nai province has signed 88 Memorandums of Understanding and International Cooperation Agreements (MOUs) at the provincial level with 17 countries and territories around the world, of which 27 MOUs are still in effect. Of these, there are 8 provincial MOUs and 15 MOUs at the department, branch and local level of Dong Nai signed with Korean partners that are still in effect.

Along with economic development, Dong Nai province always pays attention to people-to-people diplomacy activities, contributing to enhancing understanding between the people of Vietnam and Korea in general and between Dong Nai province and Korean localities in particular. Dong Nai province established the Vietnam - Korea Friendship Association in 2016, attracting nearly 500 members. Over the years, the association has had many meaningful and practical activities and has become one of the important positive bridges in strengthening and fostering the friendly cooperation between Dong Nai province and Korean localities to develop further.

Deputy Director of the Department of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Viet Thang also recalled that previously, Bien Hoa city of the former Dong Nai province had established a sister city relationship with Gimhae city. This is an important milestone, demonstrating the close friendship, trust and strategic vision in promoting cooperation between the two localities.

Over the past time, the twinning relationship has contributed to deepening the friendship between Vietnam and Korea in general, and Dong Nai and Gimhae in particular. With the potential and advantages of each locality, the leaders of Dong Nai province believe that in the coming time, the two sides can expand cooperation in many fields such as: cultural exchange, youth exchange, education and training, health, trade, investment and scientific and technological cooperation.

Dong Nai always attaches importance to and is ready to create favorable conditions to promote cooperation and development with Korean partners, including Gimhae city, in the fields of education - training, high-tech agriculture, supporting industry, trade - services, innovation, digital transformation, cultural exchange. This will be a solid foundation to contribute to strengthening friendship, enhancing mutual understanding and sustainable development.
