U.23 Vietnam adapts to V-League
During this FIFA Days in November, the Vietnam U.23 team under the leadership of interim coach Dinh Hong Vinh participated in the CFA Team China Panda Cup 2025 friendly tournament held in Chengdu city, Sichuan province (China).
The special thing is that coach Dinh Hong Vinh and his team will not go on the same trip to the neighboring country. Instead, U.23 Vietnam will divide the team into 2 groups flying on 2 different days, to be able to best prepare for the tournament.
This comes from the fact that we will play our first match in China on November 12, forcing U.23 Vietnam to race against time because the young players are busy competing in round 11 of the V-League taking place on November 8, 9 and 10.

Specifically, on the night of November 9, Coach Dinh Hong Vinh will join a group of about 20 U.23 Vietnam players who will compete for V-League clubs on November 8 and 9, then fly to China early in the morning of November 10.
After that, the remaining group will compete in the V-League on November 10, such as Dinh Bac, Minh Phuc, Ly Duc ( Hanoi Police Club), Le Viktor (Ha Tinh Club), Dinh Hai, Van Truong, Van Ha (Hanoi Club). Those who are called up will gather the night after the match and fly to China later.
One advantage is that the above mentioned clubs all play in the capital Hanoi or Thien Truong Stadium, which is only a few hours away by car, so they will not have too much difficulty presenting themselves to the coaching staff at night. They will have a night's rest before flying to Chengdu City on the morning of November 11.
Good match time, good opponent

The U.23 Vietnam team will have 3 very useful matches.

At the 26,000-seat Shuangliu Stadium in Chengdu City, Sichuan Province (China), the Vietnam U.23 team will have 3 matches, starting with a match against China U.23 at 6:35 p.m. Vietnam time on November 12.
At 2:30 p.m. on November 15, we will enter the second match against a familiar opponent, U.23 Uzbekistan (we drew 0-0 in the CFA Team China tournament in March 2025).
Coach Dinh Hong Vinh and his team will play their final match against U.23 Korea at 2:30 p.m. on November 18. The weather in Chengdu in mid-November is a bit chilly, with temperatures ranging from 15-17 degrees Celsius, so playing at noon does not actually affect the match.
It should also be added that U.23 Uzbekistan and U.23 Korea are the champions of the U.23 Asian Championship in 2018 and 2022 respectively. U.23 Uzbekistan also reached the finals of the U.23 Asian Championship in 2022 and 2024, showing that the quality of youth training is very formidable.
