The National Assembly approved the dismissal of several ministers.

On the afternoon of October 24, the National Assembly listened to Permanent Deputy Head of the National Assembly Office Le Quang Manh (assigned to perform the duties of Secretary General of the National Assembly) present the draft Resolutions of the National Assembly on personnel work.

Then, the National Assembly voted to pass the Resolution approving the dismissal of a number of Ministers for the 2021-2026 term with 418/418 National Assembly deputies present in favor (88.19% of the total number of National Assembly deputies).

Accordingly, the National Assembly approved the dismissal of Mr. Bui Thanh Son from the position of Minister of Foreign Affairs; Mrs. Pham Thi Thanh Tra from the position of Minister of Home Affairs; and Mr. Do Duc Duy from the position of Minister of Agriculture and Environment .

The National Assembly also passed a Resolution approving the proposal of the Chairman of the National Election Council to dismiss Ms. Pham Thi Thanh Tra, Ms. Nguyen Thanh Hai and Mr. Le Quang Tung from the positions of members of the National Election Council.

Also this afternoon, the National Assembly passed a resolution to relieve Mr. Le Quang Tung from his position as member of the Standing Committee of the 15th National Assembly; to relieve him from his position as Secretary General of the 15th National Assembly - Head of the National Assembly Office; to relieve Ms. Nguyen Thanh Hai from her position as Head of the Committee for Delegation Affairs of the 15th National Assembly; and to relieve Mr. Le Quang Huy from his position as Head of the Committee for Science, Technology and Environment of the 15th National Assembly.

As a result, 431/431 National Assembly delegates present approved (90.93% of the total number of National Assembly delegates).

In addition, the Resolution to dismiss Mr. Tran Van Thuc from the 15th National Assembly by electronic voting, the result is as follows: 422 delegates participated in the vote (89.03% of the total number of National Assembly delegates); of which, 422 delegates approved (89.03% of the total number of National Assembly delegates).
