The 2025 Prime Minister's Conference on Dialogue with Farmers, themed "Applying Science and Technology, Innovation and Digital Transformation in Farmers," aims to concretize the implementation of Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW on breakthroughs in the development of science and technology, innovation and digital transformation of the nation; and Resolution No. 68-NQ/TW on the development of the private economy in the new situation.
During this dialogue session, more than 5,000 opinions, suggestions, and recommendations from farmers, businesses, and cooperatives were submitted to the Government and the Prime Minister . At the conference, farmers, cooperative members, and businesses raised questions, exchanged opinions, and made proposals directly to the Government, the Prime Minister, and leaders of ministries, sectors, and localities. Based on this, the Prime Minister, along with leaders of ministries and sectors, listened to and discussed the issues raised by farmers to resolve difficulties and obstacles, and simultaneously proposed mechanisms and policies to address them.

Attending and directing the ceremony were: Ms. Pham Thi Thanh Tra, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Deputy Prime Minister, and Head of the National Steering Committee for the Search, Collection, and Identification of the Remains of Fallen Soldiers; and Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Long, Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam and Deputy Minister of Public Security. The conference focused on discussing and engaging in dialogue on issues that farmers want the government to address, including: solutions and actions by farmers to implement Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on breakthroughs in the development of science and technology, innovation, and national digital transformation in agriculture and rural areas; mechanisms and policies for applying advanced techniques and modern technologies to agricultural production, forming sustainable agricultural production chains, especially in plant and animal breeding technology; traceability; processing and building brands for agricultural products.
The role of farmers in international integration and solutions to support farmers in promoting the application of science and technology, innovation, and digital transformation in quality agricultural production, ensuring export standards and expanding global markets; mechanisms and solutions to support and promote institutional reform and simplify administrative procedures in agriculture and rural areas; and solutions to unlock resources in terms of natural resources, environment, land, and labor.

The solutions aim to promote and support the development of the private economy in agriculture and rural areas, targeting farming households, individual businesses in rural areas, agricultural cooperatives, and service businesses, contributing to Vietnam's double-digit economic growth target in the coming period; addressing the issue of disaster prevention and control, floods, and fundamental solutions to minimize damage and proactively respond to extreme weather events in the context of increasingly severe climate change.
In his concluding remarks at the conference, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh affirmed the crucial role of agriculture, farmers, and rural areas in the history of national construction as well as in the 40 years of reform. This is a solid foundation for developing the agricultural sector, building rural areas, and creating a strong, prosperous, civilized, thriving, and happy nation.
