In June, as Hanoi enters the first days of the bright summer, the lotus ponds around West Lake also begin to bloom. From early morning, layers of delicate pink flowers unfurl on the water's surface, blending with the gentle fragrance to create a peaceful scene in the heart of the capital.

These days, the area around West Lake is busier than usual. Many locals and tourists flock to the lotus ponds to visit, take photos, enjoy tea, and breathe in the fresh air of Hanoi's summer.

This year, the favorable weather conditions have resulted in lotuses blooming on schedule, with uniform flowers that retain their fragrance for a long time.

The lotus season usually begins in late May and lasts until around August, but June is considered the time when the lotuses are at their most beautiful.

The period from 5 to 8 a.m. is when the lotus ponds are busiest. This is also when the lotuses are in full bloom, the sunlight is gentle, and the air is cool, making it ideal for visiting and capturing moments of the lotus season.
The lotus season in June not only brings an elegant beauty to West Lake but also contributes to preserving the distinctive cultural values of Hanoi. Amidst the modern pace of life, the fragrance of early summer lotuses remains a peaceful touch, attracting many to return and experience the unique beauty of the capital city.
