According to information on the website of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the international 3D mapping art performance and exchange program will take place from July 1-5, from 7:30 PM to 9:00 PM, in front of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee headquarters.
This is one of the highlights in the series of events commemorating the 50th anniversary of the official renaming of Saigon - Gia Dinh City to Ho Chi Minh City (July 2, 1976 - July 2, 2026). Using modern lighting technology combined with sound and visual effects, the 3D mapping performance will transform the area in front of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee headquarters into an outdoor art space, recreating the city's 50-year journey of development: from Saigon - Gia Dinh to a modern, dynamic, and compassionate metropolis.
As soon as information about the 3D mapping program was announced, many young people began searching for the best viewing spots so they wouldn't miss the performances that were expected to be the most spectacular of the year.

Having watched the light show in front of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee headquarters, Le Hoai Thu (27 years old), residing on Street 2, Thu Duc Ward (Ho Chi Minh City), said that the most important thing is to arrive early.
"Programs like this are usually very crowded. If you want to see everything clearly, you should arrive early to choose a good spot. In my experience, you should sit in the area behind the Ho Chi Minh monument, in the middle of the axis facing the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee headquarters. Sitting in the middle will allow you to see the entire lighting effect more clearly," Thu shared.
According to Thu, young people can choose to stand on either side of the sidewalk on Nguyen Hue or Le Thanh Ton streets to observe. However, the viewing angles from either side will make it difficult for viewers to see the entire projection on the building's facade.
"In previous events, I found that sitting in the middle, slightly above the Ho Chi Minh monument, was the best. Arriving 1-2 hours early makes it easier to secure a seat. When the program starts, most people in the city center or strolling along the pedestrian street will sit down to enjoy it, so the crowd will be very large at that time," Thu said.

Banners advertising the program were hung in the Nguyen Hue pedestrian street area.

Nguyen Thi Ngoc Dung, a student at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in Ho Chi Minh City, said that choosing the right location is a crucial factor in determining the experience.
Dung believes that the area behind the Ho Chi Minh monument is still the best viewing spot. However, you have to sit in the center to see everything clearly. Additionally, if you want a good viewing angle, you should arrive about an hour before the performance.
Besides focusing on finding a good viewing spot, many people also pay attention to preparations when bringing young children to watch the program. Dung shared that if parents choose to stand on the sidewalks, they should bring folding chairs or small collapsible chairs so that children can easily observe the show in crowded conditions.
Mr. Nguyen Hoang Dung (34 years old), residing on Nguyen Thai Son Street, An Nhon Ward (Ho Chi Minh City), said he had planned to attend the show with his family on the very first night.

The area on the sidewalk of Le Thanh Ton Street, behind the Ho Chi Minh monument, next to the flower garden, is where I think the view is quite good," Dung said.
Meanwhile, Nguyen Tuyet Anh, a student at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, expressed her excitement about this event. According to Tuyet Anh, light shows in the city center of Ho Chi Minh City always offer a novel and visually stunning experience.
Besides choosing a good spot, Tuyet Anh said that on social media, many young people also reminded each other to maintain general hygiene, not to litter, to comply with the instructions of the authorities, and to proactively protect their personal belongings while participating in crowded events.
