In particular, the important goals that Vietnam has committed to implement at COP 26 include: Commitment to achieve net zero emissions by 2050. Participation in the "Global Methane Emission Reduction Commitment", with the goal of reducing emissions by 30% by 2030. Participation in the "Glasgow Leaders' Declaration on Forests and Land Use" to protect forests and end deforestation.

3 goals of Vietnam's National Strategy on Climate Change for the period up to 2050:
1. Proactively and effectively adapt, minimize vulnerability, loss and damage due to climate change.
2. Reduce greenhouse gas emissions towards the target of net zero emissions by 2050, making a positive and responsible contribution to the international community in protecting the Earth's climate system.
3. Take advantage of opportunities from climate change response to shift growth models, improve economic resilience and competitiveness.
Vietnam also commits to switching from fossil fuels to renewable energy such as wind and solar power. Calls for the mobilization of financial, technological and intellectual resources from the international community. Commits to building legal mechanisms and policies to effectively implement international commitments.

In particular, the agricultural and forestry sectors have implemented many effective initial measures such as: Converting rice cultivation methods to reduce methane emissions. Using organic fertilizers, applying fertilizer at the right dose and time to reduce N2O emissions; Processing agricultural by-products into resources such as fertilizers or energy; Improving livestock diets and applying livestock waste treatment technology to reduce CH4 emissions; Implementing programs and projects such as the 1 million hectare high-quality and low-emission rice project in the Mekong Delta, aiming to replicate sustainable farming models.
Policy on closing natural forests, strengthening forest protection to maintain and increase carbon stocks. Natural forest regeneration and new forest planting programs to increase CO2 absorption capacity. Sustainable forest management (SFM) projects and forest certification help improve forest quality and limit deforestation. Payment mechanism for forest environmental services (PFES): improve the effectiveness of PFES policies, create financial resources to protect and develop forests and improve people's livelihoods. Participation in carbon markets: negotiate, sign and implement emission reduction payment agreements such as ERPA.

For the community and businesses, there have been many pioneering businesses that have implemented effectively, such as TH Group. Communities and businesses have been actively investing in green technology and cleaner production. Using renewable energy and saving electricity with high-efficiency electrical equipment and rooftop solar power...
Delegates also exchanged experiences and challenges in implementing regulations and measures to reduce greenhouse gas emissions of businesses and communities and contributed ideas to contribute to the completion of goals and tasks for the sectors and fields in charge of implementing Vietnam's commitments signed at COP 26.
