Launching '60 peak days of converting the model from lump-sum tax to declaration for business households'

On the morning of November 6, Tay Ninh Provincial Tax Department held a launching ceremony for the "60-day peak campaign to implement Resolution No. 68 of the Politburo, Project 3389 of the Ministry of Finance and Decision No. 3352". The event was connected online to 10 tax collection points in the area. Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Huynh Van Son attended and spoke at the launching ceremony.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Huynh Van Son emphasized that the elimination of lump-sum tax and switching business households to tax declaration before January 1, 2026 is an important reform step, contributing to transparency and fairness in tax management.

He requested the provincial Tax Department to strengthen propaganda, concentrate human resources, and provide maximum support so that business households can clearly understand and properly implement the policy; at the same time, he requested departments, branches, and localities - especially the People's Committees of communes and wards - to closely coordinate, create favorable conditions in terms of facilities and propagate tax policies to each neighborhood and hamlet.

Tay Ninh Provincial Tax Department Head Nguyen Nam Binh said that the elimination of lump-sum tax is a major policy, marking a strong shift in modernizing and making tax management transparent, creating an equal business environment between business households and enterprises. With the motto "Taxpayers are the center of service", the Provincial Tax Department issued Plan No. 2147/KH-TNI, dated October 15, 2025, to launch a peak campaign from November 1 to December 31, 2025 to support business households in changing their tax payment model.

During this time, the Tax Department will mobilize maximum forces, coordinate with authorities at all levels, promote propaganda, guidance, and support business households to implement the transformation of management models. Mr. Binh emphasized that to complete this policy, it requires the direction of the Provincial People's Committee, the coordination of departments, branches, police and especially the consensus of 96 communes, wards and the business household community.

The campaign was launched with the communication message "60 days of action - Substantive transformation - Raising the level of business households in declaration, transparency and modernity", demonstrating the determination of the Tax sector in realizing the major policy of the Party and State, towards sustainable development of the private economic sector.

According to statistics, the whole province currently has 57,293 business households, of which more than 39,000 households pay lump-sum tax, more than 2,700 households declare and more than 15,000 households are below the tax threshold. Total state budget revenue to date has reached more than 44,000 billion VND, exceeding 118% of the central government's assigned estimate./.
