According to the provincial Hydrometeorological Station, radar and satellite images observed in the past 3 hours show that convective clouds are developing strongly, causing showers and thunderstorms in many areas such as Tan Hoa, Tan Thanh, Duong Minh Chau, Ninh Dien, Phuoc Vinh, Binh Hiep, Tuyen Binh, Tuyen Thanh, Vinh Chau, Tan Hung, Vinh Hung...
It is forecasted that on November 6, the area of thunderstorms will continue to expand, spreading to other areas such as Lo Go - Xa Mat National Park, communes and wards of Tan Bien, Thanh Duc, Phuoc Thanh, Moc Hoa, Tan Tay, Long An and many neighboring areas. Rainfall is generally from 2-15 mm, in some places over 20 mm.
The meteorological agency warns that during thunderstorms, special precautions should be taken against tornadoes, lightning, strong gusts of wind and hail, which can cause trees to fall, damage houses, traffic works and infrastructure, affecting people's lives. In addition, heavy rain can cause localized flooding in low-lying areas.
The Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Control and Search and Rescue of Tay Ninh province recommends that people regularly update weather forecast information, proactively secure their houses, protect crops and livestock, and not take shelter under trees or near high, open places during thunderstorms to ensure safety.
According to a report by the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Tay Ninh, by the end of October and the beginning of November, the total damage caused by floods in the Dong Thap Muoi area was 38.4 billion VND, bringing the total damage in the province to more than 61 billion VND.
