Economic development goes hand in hand with environmental protection
With 38 years of experience in the field of plastic production, Duy Tan Recycling Plastic Joint Stock Company (DUYTAN Recycling) keeps up with the trends of Vietnam and the world.
Wishing to harmonize the economy while still ensuring the environment and society, the company researched a green transformation model, focusing on researching plastic recycling technologies. In 2019, the company started construction of a factory in Long An province (now Tay Ninh province) and began operations in 2020. DUYTAN Recycling has the "mission" of minimizing environmental pollution from plastic waste in Vietnam.
With a designed capacity of 100,000 tons of plastic/year, DUYTAN Recycling collects about 200 tons of plastic bottles per day.

DUYTAN Recycling (Duc Hoa commune) has the "mission" to reduce environmental pollution from plastic waste in Vietnam.
To ensure the source of raw materials, DUYTAN Recycling has established a collection network from scrap collectors (informal workers). This force is an "extended arm" to make the collection of plastic bottles in the environment more and more effective.
To date, the company has established a collection network at 3,300 points. After being collected, plastic bottles will be processed and brought to the factory, after going through many processes, they will create recycled plastic granules.
Head of Sustainable Development of DUYTAN Recycling Le Viet Dong Hieu said: “The recycled plastic pellets will be supplied to FMCG brands around the world to produce new plastic bottles. We are proud to have very large partners such as Coca-Cola, Suntory PepsiCo and Unilever and are very happy that their factories are located in Tay Ninh province. The orientation and investment environment in the province are very favorable for businesses to develop”.
Currently, the company continues to expand and connect more collection networks. Along with expanding the collection network, DUYTAN Recycling also cares about ESG criteria including environmental, social and governance issues.
In terms of social criteria, the company collaborates with many international organizations as well as agencies, departments and sectors to improve the capacity, awareness and professional knowledge of the informal workforce.
In addition, the company provides labor tools, labor protection, and carries out health care and social security activities for the informal workforce, thereby contributing to promoting the productivity of each worker.

DUYTAN Recycling (Duc Hoa commune) cooperates with Unilever to implement the Plastic Bottle Recycling Program
With the core values of Integrity - Quality - Creativity - Responsibility - Sustainability, DUYTAN Recycling is increasingly gaining trust and becoming the leading plastic manufacturing brand in Vietnam. In 2023, DUYTAN Recycling is the first recycling enterprise in Vietnam to be honored to receive the High-Tech Enterprise certificate issued by the Ministry of Science and Technology.
In addition, during the production process, the company is maintaining 25 certifications not only in Vietnam but also internationally. Specifically, the FDA certification of the US Food and Administration; EFSA certification for products exported to the European market as well as OPP (Ocean Power Plastic) certification, which is a certification for collecting plastic bottles on the beach to make Vietnam's environment greener, cleaner and more beautiful.
Many solutions to improve and enhance the Green Index
In recent times, the consistent viewpoint of Tay Ninh province is that economic development must be associated with environmental protection. The province has focused on leading and directing departments, branches and localities to implement solutions to improve the component indicators of the Green Index (PGI) through promoting propaganda activities to raise public awareness of environmental protection, responding to the negative impacts of climate change; applying scientific and technological advances in improving the effectiveness of environmental management; strengthening the fight against environmental crimes, promptly detecting and handling violations of environmental protection, towards the goal of green growth and sustainable development.
To contribute to improving and enhancing PGI in the right focus and achieving high efficiency, the province has proposed many solutions: Thoroughly propagating in the political system, people and businesses in the province awareness of green growth and development towards reducing greenhouse gas emissions according to the target of net emissions of "0" by 2050.
At the same time, thoroughly handle pollution black spots, improve environmental quality; encourage operating enterprises to have a roadmap for transformation, apply modern technology to reduce emissions; limit the acceptance of investment projects for industries that pose a risk of causing environmental pollution, and prioritize the acceptance of industries that limit emissions and are environmentally friendly.
In addition, the province focuses on the management/treatment of domestic solid waste and urban wastewater; enhancing the capacity to collect and treat domestic solid waste generated in the province, contributing to environmental protection through calling for investment and mobilizing support resources to effectively implement tasks; promoting the application of digital transformation in waste management to improve the efficiency of waste management in the whole province.
In addition, the province investigates and surveys the current status of production technology, has a suitable roadmap to convert or replace outdated technology that emits a lot of greenhouse gases with environmentally friendly technology; builds a pilot model of green industrial parks, focuses on attracting all types of logistics services in the province; uses resources economically, uses raw materials and energy that are environmentally friendly;...
Nowadays, manufacturing enterprises are increasingly aware of their role and responsibility in environmental protection. Along with environmental protection, green production is an advantage that helps enterprises enhance their brand, attract consumers and help enterprises penetrate demanding markets in the world./.
