In the 2026 - 2030 term, the province has identified logistics development as one of the strategic pillars to promote economic restructuring, improve competitiveness and attract investment. Accordingly, the province focuses on renovating urban spaces in an open direction, associated with the development of landscape axes, unique architectural works and strengthening connections with major cities. The central urban space is expanded in the direction of Viet Tri - Vinh Yen, closely connected with Noi Bai International Airport, the midlands and mountainous areas in the North, the capital region, the Red River Delta and the whole country.

The province prioritizes the completion of strategic traffic axes, focusing on the Noi Bai - Viet Tri - Vinh Yen - Hoa Binh corridor, creating a driving force for the connection between Phu Tho and Hanoi, the old Vinh Phuc industrial center and the old Hoa Binh tourist area. At the same time, the Noi Bai - Lao Cai and Tuyen Quang - Phu Tho expressways are being accelerated; key national highways such as National Highway 2, National Highway 6, National Highway 32 and Ho Chi Minh Road continue to be upgraded synchronously. The Yen Vien - Lao Cai railway system is also oriented to develop into a double-track railway, upgrading Viet Tri station to become a multimodal transport center of the region.

Phu Tho aims to develop modern, high-productivity and high-quality industry, becoming a major production center of the country in the fields of automobiles - motorbikes, electronics, high technology. The province focuses on improving the competitiveness of key products such as: Electronic components, mechanics, agricultural and forestry processing, pharmaceuticals and new construction materials; developing modern service industries, applying high technology, aiming to become a regional and national trade - logistics center.

Taking advantage of its proximity to Noi Bai International Airport and the gateway to the capital, the province focuses on forming four dynamic development zones. In particular, the Viet Tri - Phu Tho urban area (old) becomes a multi-industry center, developing strongly along the Lo River and key highways and railways, playing a connecting role in the Northwest and becoming a gateway urban area to the North of the capital. The Vinh Phuc urban area (old) is planned to become a modern industrial production center, especially in the fields of automobiles, motorbikes, electronics, while strongly developing trade, logistics and innovation. The close connection with Viet Tri creates a complete urban - industrial area in the Northeast of the province. The Hoa Binh area (old) plays the role of a green economic zone, developing on the basis of eco-tourism, indigenous culture and clean energy. This is a high-quality resort development center, combined with unique national cultural values, while ensuring the function of conserving forests and mountain ecosystems.

At the same time, the province develops 5 key economic corridors linked to dynamic regions, creating spillover momentum and sustainable growth, including: Northern economic corridor (Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong - Quang Ninh); Central corridor based on Ho Chi Minh road axis and the North - South Western expressway to connect the urban areas of Viet Tri, Thanh Thuy, Hoa Binh; Eastern corridor linked to the Capital Region's Ring Road 5 and National Highway 2C to create favorable conditions for connecting with the Eastern Delta provinces. Meanwhile, the Southern economic corridor linking Dien Bien, Son La, Hoa Binh to Hanoi plays a role in transferring highland to lowland areas. In particular, the economic - ecological corridor along the Da River connecting Viet Tri with Hoa Binh is not only a trade axis but also a unique space for tourism development and ecological services.

The highlight of the regional logistics strategy is the ICD Vinh Phuc Logistics Center project - Vietnam SuperPortTM, with a scale of 83 hectares, a total investment of nearly 300 million USD, located in the "industrial capital" of Binh Xuyen, invested and developed by T&Y SuperPort Vinh Phuc Joint Stock Company - a joint venture between T&T Group (Vietnam) and YCH Group (Singapore). This is the first "super port" in the ASEAN smart logistics network, and is also one of the largest logistics centers in the North.

The project owns the first extended air cargo warehouse in Vietnam, fully integrating the functions of an “outside airport cargo terminal”, allowing customs clearance, security screening, storage, loading and unloading of ULDs and transporting goods to the airport. The entire cargo handling process is strictly controlled by security, monitored by a 24/7 CCTV system and aviation security and customs forces. With an area of over 11,000m2 and a capacity of about 50,000 tons/year, the warehouse is built according to international standards, capable of serving carriers and businesses from major markets such as the US and Europe, contributing to improving the capacity of aviation logistics connectivity and affirming Vietnam's position on the global supply chain map.

Currently, Vietnam SuperPortTM is cooperating with Google and Kyndryl to develop a new generation of AI for security screening, dangerous goods identification and automatic document authentication, improving safety and operational efficiency. The project is also supported by the Singapore Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR) to research autonomous robots (AMR), robot loaders (Robot Loaders) and automatic guided vehicles (AGVs), helping to automate the entire logistics process, increasing productivity by 35% and reducing errors by 50%.

According to Dr. Robert Yap - Executive Chairman of YCH Group, Vietnam SuperPort™ represents the shared vision of YCH and T&T Group in building a smarter, greener and more connected supply chain for the region. The project is not only a key logistics infrastructure, but also a driving force to strengthen Vietnam's role as ASEAN's trade and innovation hub.

With a strategic vision, synchronous development orientation and large-scale projects such as Vietnam SuperPortTM, Phu Tho is gradually affirming its position as an industrial - logistics - service center of the Northern Midlands and Mountains region, contributing to promoting regional connectivity and national economic development in the new period.
