Urgently repair damage on Ngo Quyen

According to local residents, after heavy rains in recent days, some points on the car lane of Ngo Quyen - Le Van Hien route, from Chu Huy Man street to the intersection with Tran Thi Ly bridge and Nguyen Van Thoai street, were damaged, posing a potential safety risk for vehicles traveling through this area.

In some locations, the road surface has been deformed into large ditches, making it difficult for cars and trucks to move. Previously, in early 2025, people reported that the Ngo Quyen - Le Van Hien road surface was deformed.

It is known that this area is both part of National Highway 14B, connecting cargo vehicles to Tien Sa Port, and is also the axis connecting the center of Da Nang City with Dien Ban Dong Ward and the ancient town of Hoi An. Every day, this route has a large volume of traffic, especially during rush hour.

Receiving feedback information, the City Department of Construction directed units to urgently mobilize vehicles and human resources to repair damaged areas to ensure traffic safety.

Speaking to Da Nang Newspaper, Radio and Television, Deputy Director of the Department of Construction Luong Thach Vy said that the units are currently repairing the traffic on Ngo Quyen Street; the latest completion date is November 6 and will continue repairing and ensuring traffic when it rains. When the weather is good, the repair work will be completed within 3 days.

According to the Department of Construction of Da Nang City, Linh Suong Construction, Trade and Service Company Limited is assigned to carry out regular management and maintenance of National Highway 1, National Highway 14B and Hue Intersection in Da Nang City. The company is coordinating with the Da Nang Infrastructure Maintenance Board to handle damaged areas.

According to Director of the Danang Infrastructure Maintenance Board Truong Bang Linh, the current repair is a temporary solution. Due to the rainy weather, the unit can only temporarily patch and fill the damaged areas for people to travel.

When the weather is favorable, the road surface will be resurfaced with asphalt concrete, replacing the old peeling layer to ensure safe traffic and urban aesthetics.
