Ea Knop commune proactively responds to storm No. 13

Storm No. 13 has a wide range of influence, moves quickly, and makes landfall directly in Dak Lak province. In response to the above situation, Ea Knop commune has proactively prepared plans to respond to the storm.

Through the survey, in Ea Knop commune, the area with strong storms is the old Ea Tih commune; the area with floods and flash floods includes the old Ea Sar commune, along the Krong H'nang river; the area with landslides on the embankment is Ea Knop lake.

Ea Knop Commune People's Committee held a meeting to deploy response plans for storm No. 13.

Ea Knop commune held an emergency meeting in the early afternoon of November 6 to deploy a response plan for storm No. 13 and heavy rain, floods, and landslides in Ea Knop commune.

Accordingly, the commune focuses on promoting "4 on-the-spot" activities, organizing the evacuation of people from storm and flood areas to safe shelters, minimizing damage to people and property; and supporting the evacuation of production materials and people's property.

The commune's propaganda force increased announcements and warnings of storms and floods through the commune's radio system, schools, bulletin boards, and zalo groups; propagated and disseminated knowledge to people on how to respond to storms making landfall, reinforce houses and architectural works, and stockpile food, etc.

Ea Knop commune has also fully prepared human resources, vehicles, necessities, medicine, etc. to respond to storm No. 13; and prepared plans to overcome the consequences of storms and floods.

Immediately after the meeting, the leaders of Ea Knop commune organized two inspection teams led by the Party Secretary, Chairman of the People's Council of Mlo Bren commune and Deputy Party Secretary, Chairman of the People's Committee of the commune Le Anh Vu to conduct field inspections in villages, hamlets, and areas in key areas at risk of being affected; to propagate and remind people to take shelter safely.
