Ea Ky commune proactively responds to storms and floods

Ea Kly Commune People's Committee said that due to the impact of storm No. 13, from noon to the afternoon of November 6, the commune experienced heavy rain, some areas were flooded. The locality is urgently implementing response measures.

By 4:30 p.m. on November 6, the water level in the fields of villages 9 and 11 was rising rapidly. Water was about to enter some houses in this area. The local authorities mobilized people, especially the elderly, women and children, to move to a safe place. Those in low-lying areas who stayed to evacuate their belongings were given life jackets and life buoys by the authorities.

The locality has mobilized forces to support the relocation of assets for 7 households in this area. The commune has also put up warning signs and barricades on deeply flooded roads, especially roads leading to low-lying areas with high risk; at the same time, it is recommended that people absolutely do not leave their homes unless absolutely necessary, especially in areas along rivers and streams.

Mr. Nguyen Hai Sam, Vice Chairman of Ea Kly Commune People's Committee, said that due to heavy rain and water from Vu Bon Commune, it is forecasted that tonight, many areas of the commune will be deeply flooded. All storm prevention forces of the commune are closely monitoring the natural disaster situation, focusing on implementing emergency response work, ensuring the safety of people's lives and property.
