On the morning of November 6, speaking with Tuoi Tre Online , Mr. Phan Duy Hung, Chairman of the People's Committee of Tra Doc Commune, Da Nang City (formerly Bac Tra My District, Quang Nam ), said that storm prevention and flood response work has been urgently deployed by the locality in recent days.
Up to now, the whole commune has evacuated nearly 200 households with more than 1,000 people in areas at risk of landslides and flash floods.
This morning he continued to directly inspect areas at risk of landslides to evacuate people.
Through inspection at group 2 (village 7), a long crack appeared on the porch of a house on the hill, where many houses are living below.
This crack extends across the hill, with a high risk of landslides, posing a danger to residents living here.
Therefore, to ensure the safety of people's lives and property, the People's Committee of the commune has issued a document requesting the evacuation of 24 households with more than 110 people of group 2 this afternoon.

In the mountainous commune of Avuong, Mr. Briu Quan, Chairman of the People's Committee, said that the commune is focusing on arranging and evacuating people again to prevent storm No. 13, landslides, and floods, to be completed today.
It is expected that more than 100 households with more than 300 people will be evacuated to cope with the storm. The commune has made a plan for evacuation, established 2 groups, 16 teams in 16 villages to propagate, mobilize and evacuate people to safe places.
According to Mr. Quan, on the afternoon of November 5, Avuong commune proactively purchased 10 tons of rice, 1,000 boxes of instant noodles and other necessities to support the people in the villages, and is currently distributing them to the people before storm No. 13 arrives.
In the coastal area of Quang Phu ward, many people this morning tied up their houses to cope with the storm. In many houses, people used sandbags, foam boxes, and plastic bags filled with water to tie up the roofs.

Border guards and militia assisted fishermen in tying anchors, reinforcing boats, trimming trees, and clearing away items that could be easily blown away by the wind.
Mr. Huynh Van Thanh (fisherman of Son Tra ward) said that when hearing news of a strong storm, fishermen proactively returned their boats to shore and checked their anchor ropes and fishing gear to limit damage.
"This storm was predicted to be very strong, so all fishermen are worried. Since last night, we have been collecting nets, checking boats, and moving to shore to ensure safety. This morning, I hired a crane to lift the boat ashore to avoid the storm," said Mr. Thanh.
At Nguyen Tat Thanh beach area, Phu Loc Border Guard Station mobilized 30 officers and soldiers to coordinate with local authorities to help people reinforce their houses, move boats and be ready to respond in case of emergency.

The People's Committee of Da Nang City has directed the City Military Command, City Police, Border Guard Command, Department of Agriculture and Environment and People's Committees of coastal communes and wards to continue to closely monitor the storm's developments and dangerous weather conditions at sea, promptly notify owners of vehicles and boats still in operation to proactively take precautions.
Units reviewed plans, prepared forces and means to respond, resolutely carried out evacuation and relocation of people from unsafe areas before storms and floods directly affected them. At the same time, they proactively carried out rescue and relief work when emergencies occurred.
