Vietnam's 1m95 tall female volleyball star shines abroad

After Tran Thi Thanh Thuy, Vietnamese volleyball has another star going abroad this season. That is the 1.95m tall athlete Ly Thi Luyen.

Ly Thi Luyen is 25 years old this year, from Hung Yen . She is famous as the tallest blocker of Vietnamese women's volleyball with a height of 1.95m.

At the age of 17, this "garden crane" girl joined the Duc Giang Chemical Club and became a star not long after.

Ly Thi Luyen is the pillar that helps Duc Giang Chemicals join the strongest group of teams in the Vietnam Championship. As for the Vietnam team, she contributed to helping the team win the AVC Challenge Cup 2023.

In the past 2 years, the girl from Hung Yen has not been called up to the national team often. And with the determination to return to the national team, Ly Thi Luyen has decided to go abroad to play for the Mongolian club Hobby Ace.

At the end of October, Ly Thi Luyen went to Mongolia. And just a week later, she made her debut for the team when they faced Khinchin TG Club.

Right in the first match, Ly Thi Luyen was given many opportunities to compete. Hobby Ace lost the first game with a score of 18-25, but Luyen's impressive debut helped the team come back to win the next two games with a score of 25-15 and 25-10.

However, after the third game, Hobby Ace lost their form and lost 23-25, 11-15, and then accepted defeat with a final score of 2-3.

However, this result does not overshadow the mark that Ly Thi Luyen created on the day of her debut for the team. It is likely that this 1.95m tall girl will soon become a star in Mongolia.

Before Ly Thi Luyen, Tran Thi Thanh Thuy played very well for the Japanese club Gunma Green Wings this season.
