Kim Thanh returns to the "old house"
At the meeting, Coach Doan Thi Kim Chi gave an overview of the team's technical, physical and tactical preparations. On behalf of the athletes, Captain Huynh Nhu expressed the team's high determination, pledging to compete with all their abilities and noble sportsmanship to bring the best results, worthy of the trust of the city's fans.
Notably, this meeting also had the presence of goalkeeper Tran Thi Kim Thanh. After a period of playing for Thai Nguyen T&T, Kim Thanh asked to terminate her contract with her home club to return to her "old home" and join her teammates at Ho Chi Minh City Women's Club in the Asian Women's Cup C1 this season.

In addition, the HCMC women's team also has 6 foreign players including central defender Aubrey Goodwill, Gorman Chloe, defender Ouni Samia (Tunisia), midfielder Sakura Yoshida, Tatiana Mason (USA) and striker Maria Khan (USA). Gorman Chloe and left-back Ouni Samia are 2 new players of the team.
To prepare for this tournament, the HCMC Women's Club just had a 10-day training trip in Hanoi. Huynh Nhu and her teammates had 2 friendly matches with the Vietnam Women's Team, achieving 1 win (2-1) and 1 loss (2-3).
