U17 Vietnam has arrived in Japan for training, preparing for the Asian qualifiers.

VHO - The Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) said that on the afternoon of November 6, the Vietnam U17 team arrived in Ehime province (Japan), starting a training session lasting more than a week to complete preparations for the 2026 AFC U17 Qualifiers.

In Japan, U17 Vietnam is expected to have 3 international practice matches with carefully selected "blue troops" to suit the professional requirements of the Coaching Board.

Specifically, the team will meet U18 Imabari on November 8, Matsuyama University on November 11 and U18 Ehime on November 13.

After completing the training trip, the Vietnam U17 team will return home on November 15, entering the final preparation phase before participating in the 2026 AFC U17 Qualifiers, taking place from November 22 to 30 in Hanoi and Hung Yen.

Competing and training in Japan, a country with the continent's leading youth training system, is expected to help the Vietnamese U17 players accumulate more valuable experience, aiming to win tickets to the 2026 AFC U17 Finals.

Before moving to Japan, coach Cristiano Roland and his team ended their domestic training period with a 5-0 victory in the "return leg" friendly match against U17 Cambodia.

Evaluating the recent preparation process, coach Cristiano Roland expressed satisfaction with the training spirit and progress of his students.

The Brazilian coach said that over the past month, the players have always shown a comfortable spirit and desire when wearing the national team shirt.

All are adapting well to the playing philosophy set out by the coaching staff, clearly understanding their roles and playing with high confidence.

This is an important foundation for the team to reach its strongest state when entering the 2026 AFC U17 Qualifiers.
