The Vietnam Golden Ball Award has long been a natural measure for the journey of cultivating the internal strength of the country's football. In 2025, the national teams achieved many impressive results in the international arena when the U17 women's team, U20 women's team, women's team, Futsal team and U23 team passed the qualifying round to participate in the 2026 Asian arena. That partly helped the delegates participating in the vote to visualize the picture of Vietnamese football before the 33rd SEA Games.

The 2025 Golden Ball Awards include 14 categories: Golden, Silver, Bronze Ball for men; Golden, Silver, Bronze Ball for women; Golden, Silver, Bronze Ball for futsal (men); Outstanding Foreign Player, Outstanding Young Male Player, Outstanding Young Female Player; Dedication Award; "Most Favorite Player" Award.
In November, the Organizing Committee will send invitations to participate in the award voting along with the list of candidates to delegates, who are football experts, coaches of national teams, coaches, captains of clubs competing in V.League, women's football clubs, futsal clubs, colleagues representing press and television agencies across the country. The Vietnam Golden Ball Award Ceremony 2025 is expected to take place in December 2025 in Ho Chi Minh City.
