At the two schools with the largest number of boarding students in the old Yen Bai area, the inspection team directly surveyed the kitchen facilities, processing procedures and preparation of meals for students.

Along with the field inspection, the delegation worked with school representatives to evaluate the implementation results of directives from superiors on ensuring food hygiene and safety in the care and nutrition of boarding students.
At the kitchens, the delegation inspected and supervised the input materials, food safety conditions in the kitchens; and provided guidance on implementing measures to ensure food safety and prevent food poisoning.
The results show that schools have focused on ensuring food hygiene and safety in meals, complying with legal regulations on food processing and preservation; legal documents, sales contracts, and food origins are all carried out in accordance with regulations, and imported food is used on the same day.

However, the delegation also pointed out some limitations such as: the arrangement of the processing area is not reasonable according to the criteria of a one-way kitchen; the quantity of food samples stored is not enough as prescribed; the sample storage cabinet does not have a thermometer to monitor the temperature; some hygiene indicators through quick tests do not meet the requirements. The delegation reminded and guided the school to rectify and at the same time disseminated the process of storing food samples in accordance with regulations.
According to the plan, the specialized inspection of food safety at collective kitchens of schools in the province will be carried out in 3 phases, from November 6 to December 17, 2025.

.
The inspection team focused on establishments with a large number of meals, checking compliance with food safety laws, promptly detecting and handling violations, and limiting the risk of food poisoning.

During the inspection process, the delegation will combine knowledge dissemination and popularization of legal regulations on food safety, contributing to raising awareness and sense of responsibility of schools, owners of collective kitchens and canteens in ensuring food safety.
