On November 6, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lam Dong province organized the program "Exchange, connection and cooperation in tourism development between Lam Dong and Malaysia".

The Malaysian delegation was led by Mr. Fathir Badri Alhadad, President of the Malaysian Tourism and Travel Association, along with representatives of 22 Malaysian tourism businesses.

At the program, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lam Dong province introduced the potential and investment cooperation opportunities of Lam Dong province; exchanged and signed cooperation agreements on tourism development between tourism service businesses in Lam Dong province and tourism service businesses from Malaysia .
According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lam Dong province, this is an opportunity to promote the unique culture and new, typical tourism products and services of Lam Dong to tourism partners in the key Halal market - Malaysia. Thereby, strengthening the promotion, promotion, and connection of domestic and international tourism; at the same time, building and expanding tourism tours in international cooperation relations.
During the working trip, the Malaysian Tourism and Travel Association also introduced Halal cuisine and services to tourism service businesses in Lam Dong province. This activity aims to strengthen bilateral cooperation, promote promotion, investment and trade in the tourism sector between Lam Dong and the Malaysian market.

From November 5 to 8, a delegation from the Malaysian Tourism and Travel Association conducted a field survey of tourism products and services suitable for the Halal market in the two areas of Da Lat and Phan Thiet in Lam Dong province. The survey also created conditions for tourism businesses in Lam Dong to exchange, expand connections and build tour products to welcome international visitors, especially from the Malaysian market.
Halal tourism is a relatively new concept in Vietnam. Halal tourism can be understood as Islamic tourism or Muslim-friendly tourism, ensuring that the tourism services provided are in accordance with the specific requirements of Islam. According to calculations, with more than 1.9 billion Muslims worldwide, Halal tourism is growing rapidly with a high-spending segment, the value of the global Halal tourism market in 2023 will reach about 266 billion USD, in 2024 it will reach 276 billion USD and by 2030 it can reach 350 billion USD.
