On the afternoon of November 6, Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics (UEH) issued an urgent notice to switch to online teaching starting from November 6 and all day on November 7 due to the volatile weather situation.
According to forecasts from the meteorological agency, Ho Chi Minh City will experience heavy rain and high tides from the evening of November 6 and November 7. To ensure the safety of lecturers and students, Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics announced that all classes will be temporarily switched to online teaching.
During this time, the school recommends that students pay close attention to announcements from faculties, lecturers and the Training Department; proactively check the transmission line and online learning equipment; update weather conditions to arrange a safe travel schedule.

This includes plans to prepare for online learning and postpone school schedules during days of complicated storms (if any). Also this afternoon, a number of primary and secondary schools in Ho Chi Minh City announced changes in school hours to respond to storm Kalmaegi (storm No. 13) and high tides.
