The event was organized by the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee in coordination with Ms. Hirose Noriko, Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Ambassador in Aichi Prefecture, with the accompaniment and support of the authorities and business communities of the two localities.
The festival is considered one of the outstanding foreign affairs activities of Ho Chi Minh City in 2025, aiming to promote cultural exchange and enhance mutual understanding between the people of Aichi and Vietnam in general, and Ho Chi Minh City in particular. This is also an effort of the City and Aichi Province in implementing bilateral cooperation activities, contributing to strengthening friendly relations in the context of profound changes in the regional and international situation.
Japanese officials excitedly watched art performances by Vietnamese artists within the framework of the event "Ho Chi Minh City Day in Osaka, Japan 2024"
Within the framework of the festival, many cultural, artistic, exhibition and exchange programs will be held to promote the image of the country, people and culture of Vietnam to international friends. Visitors will be immersed in the space displaying traditional cultural products, enjoy Vietnamese cuisine , participate in tourism promotion activities and especially admire the unique art performances by artists from Ho Chi Minh City.
The highlight of the festival is the elaborate art program staged by the Ho Chi Minh City Art Center, bringing together famous artists such as: Meritorious Artist Thu Thuy, singer Vo Ha Tram, singer Dong Hung, singer To My, music producer Khanh, violinist Mai Anh, flute artist Dinh Nhat Minh, zither artist Doan Minh Tai, circus artists Le Hung, Nha Hieu, puppet artists Tran Duoc, Diem Trang, Tran Thuy, and ABC dance group.
The highlight of the Vietnam - Ho Chi Minh City Festival in Aichi Prefecture 2025 is the elaborately staged art program imbued with Vietnamese cultural identity.
With a harmonious combination of music, dance, circus, puppetry and traditional instruments, the program promises to bring the audience a complete artistic experience, where tradition and modernity blend, expressing the creative and integrated spirit of Vietnamese culture.
The festival is also an opportunity for the Vietnamese community in Japan to meet, exchange and encourage each other in their lives away from home, and to turn to the Fatherland through songs, singing and dances imbued with national identity. For the Japanese people, this is an opportunity to better understand a dynamic, friendly and rich Vietnam, where culture is preserved and shines through every musical note, Ao Dai and hospitable smile.
Through this event, Ho Chi Minh City affirms its pioneering role in cultural diplomacy, contributing to spreading the image of Vietnam to international friends.
