Da Nang promotes cooperation with Revolut Group (UK)

Standing Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Ho Ky Minh said that the potential and international experience of Revolut Group in the field of finance and technology are always highly appreciated, especially digital banking solutions and modern financial risk management.

Da Nang City commits to creating maximum favorable conditions for Revolut in the process of researching and implementing cooperation activities in the locality.

The city will carry out licensing procedures as quickly as possible within the scope and areas under its authority. For matters under the authority of the State Bank of Vietnam , the City People's Committee will closely coordinate with the State Bank branch in region 9 to recommend and propose licensing.

The Standing Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee hopes that when the Vietnam International Financial Center in Da Nang officially comes into operation, Revolut will be one of the first international digital banks present in Vietnam, contributing to affirming Da Nang's pioneering role on the journey to build a regional and international financial center.

Mr. Raymond Ng, CEO of Revolut in Singapore and Southeast Asia, discussed the group's orientations in Vietnam in general and Da Nang in particular.

The Group wishes to introduce world- leading digital banking technologies and practices to Da Nang, contributing to the building of a modern financial ecosystem; at the same time creating high-quality jobs and transferring global financial technology knowledge to the local workforce.

Revolut operates a digital bank and financial app that serves 65 million retail customers and a rapidly growing corporate client base worldwide. The group is now planning to expand in Southeast Asia.
