Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee Le Ngoc Quang highly appreciated the results achieved in the work of preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity in Da Nang city in the past term. However, after implementing the two-level local government, many communes and wards have large areas and large workloads, and some grassroots officials have not been properly trained in internal affairs, legal affairs and litigation, leading to confusion when handling situations related to complaints, denunciations and resolving complicated cases. Mr. Le Ngoc Quang said that it is necessary to completely overcome weak links, difficulties and obstacles, especially in the work of appraising and valuing assets; improve the efficiency of recovering corrupt assets; strictly implement the conclusions of inspections, audits and effective judgments. The conference heard presentations from representatives of units and localities sharing solutions to continue improving the work of preventing and combating corruption, negativity and waste in the coming time. Colonel Nguyen Ha Lai, Deputy Director of Da Nang City Police, said that the methods of corruption criminals are increasingly sophisticated, many subjects are knowledgeable about law, finance and technology. Therefore, Da Nang City Police proposed to build a city-level data center on preventing and combating corruption and waste, with the City Police as the focal point, connecting data between departments and branches such as finance, tax, land, customs, banking, etc., helping to detect early and promptly handle violations.

According to Tam Ky Ward Party Secretary Nguyen Thi Thu Lan, the ward currently has 23 houses and land that are identified as surplus and have not been put into effective use. Handling these surplus facilities is an urgent task, aiming to prevent the risk of property degradation, causing waste of state resources and reducing people's trust. Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Lan proposed that the People's Committee of Da Nang City soon have policies and plans to handle and resolve surplus headquarters due to administrative unit arrangement or guide Tam Ky Ward to complete documents and procedures to receive unused headquarters...

At the conference, 10 collectives and 12 individuals with outstanding achievements in the work of preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity received Certificates of Merit from the Standing Committee of the Da Nang City Party Committee; 10 collectives and 15 individuals received Certificates of Merit from the Chairman of the Da Nang City People's Committee.

During the 2020-2025 term, the work of preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity in Da Nang city has achieved many positive results. The authorities have handled more than 152 cases, 104 cases related to corruption and negativity; recovered more than 2,000 billion VND in corruption and economic cases for the state budget. Through the implementation of inspection conclusions and audit recommendations, Da Nang has recovered nearly 11,000 billion VND and more than 271,000 square meters of land. In addition, the city has focused on implementing Conclusion No. 77-KL/TW of the Politburo , Resolution No. 170/NQ-QH of the National Assembly, handled 1,100 out of 1,313 slow-moving projects (equal to 83.7%), freeing up thousands of billions of VND in resources, contributing to socio-economic development and strengthening the trust of businesses and people; Directed the review of 3,595 houses and land of agencies and units after the merger for handling and rearrangement...
