Nha Trang beach on the morning of November 6, 2025 had light rain and light waves; people and tourists did not swim.

At the three relic sites of Po Nagar Tower - Nha Trang; Hon Chong - Hon Do Scenic Spot and Po Klong Garai Tower, the Khanh Hoa Provincial Cultural Heritage Conservation Center has temporarily stopped serving tourists since this morning until the storm dissipates. Meanwhile, the Nha Trang Maritime Port Authority and the Vietnam Maritime and Waterways Administration have also stopped granting licenses for cruise ships to depart from the afternoon of November 5. Khanh Hoa Province's drastic solutions aim to ensure the highest safety for tourists before, during and after storm No. 13.

Mr. Tran Van Phu, Head of Nha Trang Tourist Wharf Management Department, said that in the face of the complicated developments of storm No. 13, the unit has proactively implemented measures according to the instructions of all levels. Tourist boats operating at the wharf have been moved by travel agencies to a safe anchorage. In Nha Trang Bay, floating rafts and tourism units have also been notified by local authorities to come ashore for safe shelter. Most tourists have received notices from accommodation agencies about the operation of tours, routes, and tourist attractions about the temporary closure of the wharf to prevent and fight the storm.

Meanwhile, the hotel and accommodation units have also mobilized maximum forces to reinforce and tie down the roofs in the resort, ensuring the safety of tourists staying at the resort. For some hotels along the Nha Trang coast, the units have also made plans to move guests on-site in case the sea-view rooms and low-level rooms are affected by the storm, while ensuring the necessities for guests staying during the storm.

Mr. Pham Minh Nhut, Chairman of Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa Tourism Association, added that travel agencies operating in Khanh Hoa province have prepared plans to respond to storm No. 13, proactively adjusting tour programs and notifying tourists; limiting the number of groups going to historical sites and coastal areas during the storm. All of this is to ensure absolute safety for tourists when coming to the island tourism area at this time.

Instead of going to the sea and islands this time, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Nhan, a tourist from Hanoi, proactively chose to visit Dam Market, Nha Trang Ward to buy some souvenirs. Ms. Nhan said that due to the impact of storm No. 13, ensuring her own safety is very important. Although she could not go to the sea and islands this time, this trip still left her with many interesting things.

Mr. Cung Quynh Anh, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Khanh Hoa province, said that on November 4, the department sent an urgent document to tourism businesses in the province on proactively responding to storm KALMAEGI, ensuring safety for tourists. Accordingly, the department requested businesses to regularly monitor and update the storm's developments and weather conditions through official forecast channels. Facilities need to check and reinforce infrastructure and equipment to ensure safety for tourists and workers. Tourist areas, spots, and accommodation facilities along the coast, on islands and peninsulas must review and count the number of guests staying, prepare forces, vehicles, rescue equipment and essential goods to respond when the storm makes landfall; at the same time, carry out 24/24 reporting duty before, during and after the storm, regularly report the situation of guests staying and response work to the department for timely monitoring and direction.

Recently, the Provincial People's Committee also issued Urgent Dispatch No. 03/CD-UBND dated November 5 on proactively preventing, avoiding and responding to storm Kalmaegi. Accordingly, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Khac Toan assigned the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to direct the implementation of measures to ensure safety for tourists and tourism activities, especially in sea, island and coastal areas; coordinate with relevant agencies and units to monitor, guide and support tourists in case of unusual situations.
