
According to information from the management unit, the water level of Song Ray Lake as of 7 a.m. on November 3 had reached 71.88m, while Da Den Lake reached 44.34m, approaching the safety threshold, forcing it to release water to reduce pressure on the project.
During this discharge, the discharge flow of Song Ray Lake is expected to be from 27.85 - 137.91m³/s, while Da Den Lake will discharge 4.24 - 25.13m³/s.
The center warned that the flood discharge could directly affect households living and producing along both sides of the Ray and Dinh rivers, especially the left bank of the Ray river in Ho Tram commune, and the localities of Chau Pha, Nghia Thanh, Tan Thanh, Long Huong, Tam Long and Ba Ria.
The management unit has sent an urgent document to the Civil Defense Command and the authorities of relevant communes and wards, requesting coordination in informing people to be proactive in production, protecting property and lives.
“During flood discharge, people absolutely must not fish, catch crabs or snails in the downstream area to avoid unfortunate dangers,” a representative of the Center for Management and Exploitation of Irrigation Works in Ba Ria - Vung Tau emphasized.
