Ca Mau: Police investigate case of 2-year-old girl suspected of being abused

On October 28, parent VYK (born in 1994, residing in Hamlet 4, Ganh Hao Commune) discovered that her daughter VAN (2 years old) was beaten on the right cheek and back. VAN often panics when meeting strangers, often starts up at night, cries out for the teacher's name. Indignant, Mr. VYK took photos as evidence and reported to the authorities. At the same time, he took VAN to Dong Hai Regional Medical Center for treatment.

Immediately after receiving the information, the People's Committee of Ganh Hao Commune coordinated with the Commune Police and SB Kindergarten (the school unit in charge of managing the nursery group) to go to the AL nursery group to verify and grasp the situation. Through verification and related information sources, the authorities found signs that baby VAN was being abused.

Regarding the incident, the Commune People's Committee issued a notice to temporarily suspend the activities of the children's group so that the police can investigate and clarify. After the results are available, depending on the severity, appropriate measures will be taken according to the provisions of the law.

After temporarily suspending the above nursery group activities, the People's Committee of Ganh Hao commune directed SB Kindergarten to support parents, temporarily arrange and receive children when parents request.
