According to Mr. Do Thanh Cang, Head of the Economic Department of Dai Loc commune, the TWO-WAY RADIO handheld radio system with 5W capacity is equipped for villages to ensure smooth communication during the process of directing and operating the work of responding to and preventing natural disasters, first of all, storm No. 13.

In case of emergency, the leaders of the People's Committee and the Civil Defense Command of the commune will assign officers to be in charge of each area, to promptly grasp information for handling.

In addition to the walkie-talkie system, Dai Loc Commune People's Committee provided portable speakers; life jackets, raincoats, boots, and flashlights for representatives of 33 villages to serve disaster response, search and rescue.

Previously, on November 4, at a meeting to review the work of overcoming the consequences of floods and preparing to respond to storm No. 13, representatives of sectors and villages of Dai Loc commune raised difficulties in implementing disaster response plans at each level.

There is a lack of specialized equipment and vehicles; when the flood water rises, the commune leaders cannot contact the village because their phones run out of battery, or have weak or lost signal.
