Dang and Ateep villages were the most severely affected areas in Avuong commune during the recent historic floods. In particular, Ateep village recently had a major landslide that forced dozens of households to evacuate urgently. Dang village has 69 households with 311 people, located about 15km from the center of Avuong commune; Ateep village is 6km from the center of the commune, has 71 households with 320 people.

The rugged mountainous terrain and traffic disruption have made the transportation of relief goods very difficult, but the forces are still trying to bring gifts to the people, not letting anyone go hungry or isolated in the floods.
