This is the strongest military gathering since the beginning of the year, with members carefully selected through many training and international competition stages.

Many faces who used to be on the national team continue to be present such as Tran Trung Kien, Khuat Van Khang, Nguyen Dinh Bac..., alongside the pillars who shone at the 2025 Southeast Asian U23 Championship and won the right to participate in the 2026 Asian U23 Finals such as Nguyen Phi Hoang, Nguyen Xuan Bac, Le Van Thuan, Nguyen Thanh Nhan, Nguyen Ngoc My, Pham Ly Duc.

The biggest highlight in the list is the return of striker Bui Vi Hao after a long period of injury treatment. This striker's return is expected to strengthen the attacking power of the U22 Vietnam team, especially in the context that the whole team aims for the Gold Medal at the 33rd SEA Games.

According to the plan, the U22 Vietnam team will gather on November 9 under the leadership of acting head coach Dinh Hong Vinh, before leaving for Chengdu (China) to participate in the Panda Cup 2025 from November 12 to 18. The tournament brings together four U22 teams including China, Korea, Uzbekistan and Vietnam, and is considered an important warm-up step for the U22 Vietnam team before the Congress.

After returning home, the team will begin their general training session from November 23 in Vung Tau. On December 2, the team will travel to Thailand to participate in the 33rd SEA Games.

At this Congress, U22 Vietnam is in Group B with U22 Malaysia and U22 Laos. The team will play against U22 Laos at 6:30 p.m. on December 4 and face U22 Malaysia at 6:30 p.m. on December 11 at Tinsulanon Stadium (Songkhla).

The three group winners and the best runners-up will advance to the semi-finals on December 15. The Bronze Medal match and the final will be held on December 18 at Rajamangala Stadium (Bangkok).
