
This morning, November 6, the National Civil Defense Steering Committee issued telegram No. 27 to the People's Committees of the following provinces and cities: Da Nang , Quang Ngai, Gia Lai, Dak Lak, Khanh Hoa and related ministries, requesting the implementation of urgent measures to respond to storm No. 13.
Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Environment Nguyen Hoang Hiep - Member of the Steering Committee signed the telegram, which clearly stated: The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting warned that storm No. 13 would move faster (30km/h), maintaining its strong intensity when making landfall. The western region of Quang Ngai, Gia Lai, and Dak Lak provinces (formerly the Central Highlands) will have strong winds of level 8, level 9, gusting to level 11.
The National Civil Defense Steering Committee requests ministries, branches and People's Committees of provinces and cities to strictly implement the direction of the Prime Minister and the National Civil Defense Steering Committee with earlier and more drastic requirements.
The western region of Quang Ngai, Gia Lai, and Dak Lak provinces (formerly the Central Highlands region) focused on directing storm response measures, ensuring safety for people and infrastructure, and avoiding being passive or surprised.
Updated to 10:00 a.m. on November 6 from the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, the center of storm No. 13 is at about 13.1 degrees North latitude - 111.6 degrees East longitude, only about 270km East Southeast of Quy Nhon (Gia Lai). At this time, the storm has increased from level 14 (early this morning) to level 15 (167-183km/h), gusting above level 17. The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting said that in the next 3 hours, the storm will move mainly in a westerly direction, with a speed of up to 30km/h.
Due to the storm's influence, at Ly Son station (Quang Ngai), there were strong winds of level 6, gusts of level 7; Dung Quat (Quang Ngai) strong winds of level 6, gusts of level 8; Phu Cat (Gia Lai) strong winds of level 6, gusts of level 10.
