City leaders inspect storm prevention work No. 13

DNO - On November 6, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City Phan Thai Binh inspected the work of preventing and fighting storm No. 13 in the communes and wards of Dien Ban Dong, Dien Ban Bac, Dien Ban Tay, An Thang, Dien Ban and Go Noi.

According to information at the inspection, the local authorities have proactively implemented measures to prevent and combat storm No. 13, such as: evacuating people to safe, solid places; barricading dangerous areas; and providing food support. Many households have also proactively reinforced their houses with sandbags and water tanks.

The Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee acknowledged the timely response to storm No. 13 and the recent flood damage recovery efforts of localities.

At the same time, emphasizing that the storm's direction is constantly changing and is expected to make landfall tonight, the Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee requested that localities and people absolutely not be subjective.

Local leaders continued to resolutely deploy storm response work, completing it on the afternoon of November 6; prioritizing the arrangement of forces to evacuate people, especially households and the elderly living alone, to safe shelters; for those who refused to evacuate, forced evacuation was required to ensure the safety of people's lives.
