In particular, the project "Developing organic agriculture in Da Nang city from 2026 to 2030, with a vision to 2035," recently approved by the city's People's Committee, contributes to promoting community tourism in the area.

Following the merger, community-based tourism has become one of the key areas that Phu Ninh commune is focusing on investing in and developing. At the end of August 2025, Phu Ninh commune launched a community-based tourism model in Dai An village, marking the beginning of a new direction for the locality in developing its economy while preserving culture and improving the lives of its people.

To date, the Dai An village community tourism destination has taken shape thanks to the guidance and infrastructure investment of the commune government, along with the joint contributions and construction efforts of the local people. Mr. Truong Cong Yen, from Dai An village, said that the people have developed models of snail farming, lotus cultivation, and built check-in points to attract tourists to explore the countryside.

"We are working together to build a livable village, so that domestic and international tourists can visit and experience it, thereby improving the lives of the local people," said Mr. Yen.

According to the "Organic Agriculture Development Project in Da Nang City for the period 2026-2030, with a vision to 2035," the organic agricultural tourism destination linked to Phu Ninh Lake will be organized to combine tourism with the sticky rice and watermelon growing areas of Dai An village in Phu Ninh commune. This is one of 16 areas for developing organic agriculture linked to experiential tourism. Famous landmarks such as Phu Ninh Lake, White Waterfall - Ham Ho, Lang Dam, Bong Mieu gold mine… along with unique traditional culture associated with revolutionary historical relics such as Ganh Gau, Bat Cave, and Bac Tam Ky Clinic will create a distinct identity for this region.

Phu Ninh commune currently boasts one national-level scenic spot, 11 provincial-level historical sites, and 62 officially registered and managed historical sites, providing a foundation for developing distinctive tourism products. With numerous attractive scenic spots, historical relics, and rich traditional cultural values, Phu Ninh commune is determined to actively attract businesses to invest in and develop tourism in the area, creating new tourism products and enhancing visitor experiences.

According to Mr. Vo Van Nam, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Phu Ninh commune, in order to attract and best develop community tourism in the commune, the participation of travel agencies is needed to both introduce and manage tourism promotion activities. At the same time, there needs to be a synchronized connection of infrastructure to develop the existing potential of the locality.

In Quang Phu ward, the aquaculture model combined with experiential tourism is one of the four selected organic agricultural tourism destinations in the coastal plain under the project "Development of organic agriculture in Da Nang city from 2026-2030, with orientation to 2035".

Quang Phu Ward has also been identified as an important destination in the tourism development strategy for the southern part of Da Nang city. With its strengths in beach tourism, unique local cuisine, traditional crafts, and environmental and ecological values, many city-level cultural, sports, and tourism activities have been organized in this coastal ward in recent years.

Phu Ninh Lake is one of the tourist attractions in the southern part of the city.

According to Nguyen Van Hieu, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Phu Ward, the events and festivals have contributed to building unique tourism products, promoting and spreading the image of the locality, and creating momentum for socio-economic development in the ward. In addition, they create more highlights to attract tourists to Da Nang during the 2026 summer tourism season.

“Quang Phu Ward hopes to collaborate with surrounding localities such as Huong Tra Ward, Tam Ky Ward, Tam Xuan Commune, and Phu Ninh Commune to widely promote the image of tourism in the southern part of the city to visitors,” Mr. Hieu said.

Organizing festivals in the southern part of the city also reflects Da Nang's tourism development orientation in the new phase: not only focusing on the central area, but gradually expanding the tourism space to effectively exploit the potential of the sea, culture, and local communities to create more new destinations, richer in identity and offering more experiences for tourists visiting Da Nang.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoai An, Deputy Director of the Da Nang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, said: The city's tourism industry hopes that each festival will not only contribute to promoting the city's image, but also create momentum for the development of the service economy, improve people's lives, and spread the benefits of tourism to more localities. At the same time, it aims to affirm Da Nang's image as a dynamic, friendly, and constantly innovating destination.
