According to Traveloka data released on June 2nd, Phu Quoc is the island destination with the highest growth in flight ticket searches nationwide this summer, at 56%. Con Dao follows with a 42% increase, showing that the appeal of beach and island holidays remains strong.

Overall, Da Nang is considered a top summer destination, rising to the top of the list of most popular accommodations and recording a significant increase in domestic flight bookings.

In the urban tourism segment, Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi continue to be among the most searched destinations for air tickets, reflecting the trend of short trips, staycations, and business-leisure combinations.

Among them, Vung Tau stands out due to its convenient access by car from the center of Ho Chi Minh City, making it suitable for weekend self-drive trips. Meanwhile, Nha Trang , Quy Nhon, and Mui Ne maintain their steady appeal as they enter the peak season in August.

According to the aforementioned digital travel platform, with the summer travel season reaching its peak and students having extended holidays, domestic travel bookings are experiencing strong growth. Vietnamese tourists are increasingly prioritizing high-quality beach and island trips, staycations, and itineraries linked to events and festivals.

Ms. Huynh Thi Mai Thy, Director of Traveloka Vietnam, believes that Vietnamese tourists are becoming increasingly proactive in planning their trips. Domestic trips are no longer just short vacations, but have become part of their need for rejuvenation and lifestyle.

While domestic tourism remains dominant, demand for outbound travel continues to rise. Traveloka notes that Thailand is the most popular international destination for Vietnamese travelers, followed by Singapore and Malaysia , thanks to the appeal of music festivals, entertainment events, and international tours in the region.

Additionally, travelers tend to book tickets during double-day promotions (such as June 6th) to optimize the cost of each trip.
